I like that it’s close to a beach and bus stops as well as a swimming pool. Breakfast is varied but not cooked to order . Worst haggis I’ve ever tasted . My single room was poorly maintained

I must say that I did not expect this hotel to be in such good condition. I've stayed in Best Western hotels before and they are nowhere as nice. So it was a pleasant surprise. Family room was very spacious and clean with nice view on the green and smart TV. Breakfast was a bit basic but that was expected. Did not use swimming pool so cannot comment. Staff very friendly and helpful, showed us our way to the room. I would stay again if traveling with family.

Good clean property outside of the Old Town with not a lot of amenities around there. So it’s not convenient for tourists to stay there. However, it was much more reasonably priced and was clean so that’s a good trade off.

The location of this hotel is incredibly convenient as its just a 10 minute stroll down to Portobello beach which is so underrated (and long may it stay that way). The property itself is a magnificent old building with plenty of character. Staff couldnt be more helpful, whether that be reception or the leisure staff, they couldn't do enough. Will be using again for the next trip to Edinburgh

Room was clean and comfortable, reception staff were excellent in helping out with booking problems. Good variety of Bistro food, breakfast was ok. Best was being able to use the leisure facilities from 6.30am. Free parking on the main road was a bonus too. Nearby train for a 7min hop into Edinburgh Waverley in heart of city, so excellent location.
