Excellent cost performance. Very good overal

Alghough room is small, it is clean and comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good, and inexpensive, which i did not expect at all. Pleasant surprise.

We loved this property! Highly recommend! Beautiful, unique, great location. Some things weren’t working (heater and towel heater) in our room and I couldn’t reach anyone when we called to get support hence the lower amenities score. But highly recommend this place as a wonderful option in Edinburgh.

The hotel location is great, the bar staff were excellent and the rooms are clean. However I found the room to be cold, even with the heating on, and there was a lot of noise. The cleaning staff made noise from very early and didn’t appear to attempt to keep their voices down. I needed to stay an extra night which I paid for at reception, when I noticed later it was cheaper on their website, I was told they could not honour their website price and it basically was my problem…

This was bought as a gift for others, both were very complementary of the place. Noted a clean room, welcoming staff, dinner at the restaurant was "lovely".

We had a welcoming arrival and given key information on where the amenities where and how to get to our room. We also had a free upgrade to our room. The room was spotless, the coffee was excellent in the room and we enjoyed brewing it in the morning. The Edinburgh book in the room was very handy and saved trying to google things to do. The shower was amazing and very refreshing. We both had a very good night sleep and will be looking to stay again in the future.

Staff were pleasant at check-in and hotel was superficially pleasing to the eye. The room was a little chilly at night, lacked convenient power points without unplugging fridge etc. Booked a meal then to be told nowhere to sit so had to make other arrangements. Bar staff were more concerned about chatting among themselves than serving customers, very slow and unfocused. £25 breakfast was absolutely abysmal, cold coffee, food overcooked, cold and dry, service was as slow which seemed to be a pattern. 2 people in restaurant and still took 20mins to receive. The location added a star to the review which would otherwise have got the lowest rating and I'm usually quite generous and forgiving. Absolutely no chance I'd stay here again or recommend to friends. Very convenient location but it you want any quality of service on your stay forget it.
Bacon folded to cook, dry, cold and chewy, beans stewed, egg requested soft was overcooked, mushrooms were "crunchy?" Cold and tasteless. Warm orange juice and cold coffee. For £24 this was appalling. I've had far better buffet breakfasts cheaper.

The bed was too high off the ground. Honestly, it meant if you sat on the edge of the bed your legs were dangling. The bed had a gap at the back of it between the head of the bed and the wall. The pillows slipped into the gap. The pillows themselves were not firm enough. Both these things meant a restless nights sleep for sure. The room itself was nicely enough equipped and decorated. Mini-bar prices are high, no different to other hotels on that front. Beautiful man bar area.

The downstairs of the hotel is really nice with a seating area and the bar/restaurant. Staff dual hat the check in and service so it’s not constantly manned and you have to wait or go and find someone, which is a bit annoying. Food options are relatively basic in number but good quality annd well thought out, although I’m not sure what the normal menu would be away from Christmas. Rooms are fine and the beds are comfy but are starting to look a little bit “boutique 15 years ago”. None of this would be a problem in itself but were it not for the price and the fact that breakfast is generically extra with no ability to include it in the price. This meant my overall stay was just shy of £300 as breakfast cost £46 for 2 people. I know it’s central Edinburgh, and Christmas, but I’ve stayed in Ritz Carlton’s and Four Seasons rooms in places like Singapore and the Middle East for comparable prices that were on a completely different level, included breakfast (and more), and had a level of facilities this place just doesn’t offer. It was ‘fine’ but needed to be about £200-£225 all in to represent anything like good value for money. Unfortunately it’s not good enough to be in the £300 hotel category, and not cheap enough to be an alternative to the chain hotels around haymarket. A cursory check of prices next year suggests it’s always this expensive and it wasn’t just the fact it’s the weekend before Christmas.

The room was extremely small, directly above the music lounge, we were subject to loud music until approx 2am,, So no,, Not a great experience in this hotel, Staff were unhelpful,, I would strongly recommend people stay away from the Angel Share,,,, All the angel shared was noise and heartbreak

Room was great and we love Angels share, have stayed a couple of times now. The reason for the mediocre review is the fact that we waited 45 mins for breakfast despite being only 1 of 2 tables seated at the time. Customers that ordered after us got their breakfast before us and when questioned, the lady kept saying it will be 4 mins, but 4 mins never came! They also never came with our cold drinks. When we checked out they then tried to charge drinks to our room that we didn’t order! Great venue but crap service.
