"The property was clean, quiet, and seemed safe enough. There are not a lot of places to eat in the area but it is very convenient for Carlsbad National Park."

"I had two night booked and left after the first night. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting. Filthy floor, hair, what looked like pubic hair, and something on the walls. I was traveling with my young daughter and couldn’t even have her shower. It was so bad I ended up booking a room at Comfort Suites the next night and just took the loss on the money. Additionally, there were a bunch of ppl just hanging out around the parking lot which really didn’t make me feel like my vehicle was safe so I really didn’t even sleep much. Save yourself the trouble and book somewhere else. "

"We had a great stay at the holiday inn Carlsbad. We were met right away with very friendly staff and a well kept lobby. Our room was clean and set up like you’d expect. We used the pool and hot tub and I was happy it was heated and clean."

The owners went above and beyond by including little items you often forget (toothpaste, lotion, coffee) Internet was easy to find and connect too. They also included a basket of snacks. If you have pets, they had a pet door and secure backyard. I have been in many VRBO’s this was by far the most comfortable and thoughtfully prepared home. The neighbor even took our trash to the street. Just an incredible experience. "

"I have NEVER given a bad review, but here I must. The property was dated, and some of the furniture was in bad shape. For instance, the bar stools in the kitchen area were torn on the cushion area or were patched. One night I used the toilet and the water came up in the shower. I had to wait the next day for several hours for a plumber to come out and clear the main line. In the Master Bedroom on windy nights the curtains on the inside of the room would move. And if you like dogs, the neighbors have three dogs and they'll be glad to wake you up at three AM, barking loudly. And the neighborhood is a little scary. This house needs a lot of TLC, or should be bulldozed. "
