"Communication was good and highly organized. We felt safe and didn’t need to lock up our bags or valuables at all times. Weather was rough (not their fault) so the stay was a challenge with super high winds and rain. The island was covered in trash nearly all the way around. Our cabin doors were off hinge and barely closed. The shower and sink were filthy and the toilet stained. Casa Anzuelo is a place to escape from the world, so if your goal is a peaceful place to read, think and enjoy the ocean & the warmth of the weather, then this is the place for you. Jim, the owner, was great to speak with regarding everything in the area as well as the background and history of Panama, and was willing to assist or help in anything that you needed. "A remote and very basic accommodation. If you want wifi or a mobile signal, this is not for you. The facility is run by locals so there are no permanent on site staff, but they live just over the road. There is parking. The showers are nothing more than a barrel of cold water and a pot to pour it over yourself. There is no aircon, merely a fan. In essence it’s rustic which is great for adventure seekers "
