"It started out confusing- check in was at the other e of the street @ a restaurant.. it meant backtracking with a bag. I got my key and headed back to the hotel. The place is charming- an older wooden structure . I felt like I was in an Ibsen play! The room was nice- mini apartment with a kitchenette. The breakfast was very good. The location was convenient to the center and to the castle The price was quite high for this somewhat rustic venue with no elevator. The high caprice was due to the opera festival, but still tooooooi high! Perhaps a Scandic or Sokos would have been more reasonable"

"Insanely good breakfast buffet. One of the best I had in hotels. Staff is very polite and knowledgeable. With that said, room cleaning was so-so. Sheets weren’t changed. Just the bed made and found small amount of garbage when I first arrived in the room. Would still come back in a heartbeat."
