I have stayed at the Coral Reef many times over the years. It is a classic 1930’s/1940’s motel so things are a bit old. But the price, value, and location are great for a traveler who enjoys a place with character and history. The website suggests they have a “business center,” but they do not have a room with a computer and printer you can access. But the staff at front desk were very helpful and printed out my conference papers for me. I had a great stay

Breakfast was standard Hampton, and entrees were different each day. Location is quiet, away from the large group of airport hotels. It is in the takeoff pattern for Oakland, but an extra layer of window glass in the guest rooms kept the airplane noise to a whisper. Our only recommendation is to improve the room lighting, which is very subdued.

We asked for extra pillows and no one came to bring them. Also, front desk was rude and unprofessional when inquiring about the Wi-Fi information.

This hotel was dated, yet clean, friendly, and functional. My son and I needed somewhere to stay before our early flight out of Oakland and this place was perfect. We liked the quiet location by the marina and the fact that we could walk next door for dinner. We slept well and being close to the airport made our travel day far less stressful with a 6am departure. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay again.
