"The location, where the Bay of Bengal meets the river estuary, is superb. You can walk down from the hotel to the river below the cliff. However, rubbish is scattered around the estuary. I suppose there’s not much to be done about it as it’s outside the hotel grounds. Inside the hotel, the facilities—such as the pool and restaurant—are excellent. The spa staff were extremely skilled and provided excellent service. I bought a beer at the bar, but for some reason I was told that the ice and bottle opener had to be brought separately, and they even came to collect the ice and opener from my room after 11 pm. As I had gone to bed around 9 pm the previous night because I’d been up late, I asked if they could do it later, but they seemed to feel they had to collect it that very day and were rather inflexible."
