This property was great for a quick overnight stay with our dogs. They gave us a downstairs room & there is green space to walk our dogs & a small creek behind. However, the people hanging out around the motel seemed unsafe.

The Junction Hotel and Hostel is fine if one is just looking for a simple bed. It's a bit of an old motel that is now also a hostel for hikers. The walls are thin, the staff is more or less non-existent and the location is fine for Durango. My main issue is their "dynamic" pricing. With very few rooms available in Durango when I was there, they raised their pricing to $100 per bed for the hostel when I called fairly late in the day looking for somewhere to stay. Would I stay there again? Only if nothing else were available.

Not a nice place, there is too much noise coming from other rooms, if someone takes a shower in one room close to yours you can feel it as if you are inside the shower, so noisy, you can hear conversations, steps, etc.

I slept in the back packers shared room. Unfortunately I work up covered in bites (bed bugs) over my entire body including my head. I informed staff on existing the Hotel /Hostel who was most apologetic. Hopefully they will do a deep clean

The Junction provided a safe, clean place for our needs. Nice surprise to see how close it was to a beautiful walking path near the river. We enjoyed getting into downtown Durango along this path.
