Welcome to Jack & The Egg! Built in the late 1800's and completely remodeled in 2021 - comfort and location, location, location is what it's all about. We've added a light, bright touch from the casually inviting front porch with it's bright yellow door to entering onto the main floor with living area featuring an exposed brick wall. The kitchen is outfitted with stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops with shelving and accent wall utilizing repurposed wood from Jack's historic past (note the square peg nails we reused). The dining area is adjacent to the kitchen and just perfect for your morning coffee / tea. The main level bath is large , 5 piece bathroom featuring dual vanity, marble shower and freestanding tub. Also on the main floor is the 2nd bedroom with queen size murphy bed that can double as an office for today's remote worker. Mosey on up to the 2nd floor where you will find the spacious, master bedroom suite. Unwind with your favorite TV show or a luxurious shower surrounded by glass & marble. This little jewel just keeps on giving with located 2 short blocks to downtown Durango (a highly coveted feature) along with and one dedicated parking space right next to the home (street parking is also available on a first come, first serve basis). Very nice place

This is our second time staying here and we loved it even more than the first time. In excellent location of downtown Durango. We could walk most everywhere to do what we wanted to do.

Property is within walking distance of downtown Durango. Very clean and had everything we needed for our month long stay. The listing is exactly what is mentioned. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch with the Mountain views.

Lovely little newly remodeled cottage - walk everything

We really enjoyed our stay. We loved that we hardly used our car. Walk or bike to tons of trails. Walk to coffee shops and yoga. Walk to restaurants! It is “like a duplex”, so it’s somewhat very close to another house, just a few feet away, and that other house is under construction of the outside, so it would had been nice to have a curtain on our door that connects, so you don’t see the other house. A simple upgrade suggestion, to keep up with the clean upgrades inside the “egg house.”

Excellent home in an excellent location!

As soon as I walked in I could tell it was much nicer and bigger than what I thought I saw in the photos. Everything was in great shape, clean, and very comfortable. It was very hot here during my stay and the AC kept the place nice and cool. The dog run in the side yard and the off street parking were so helpful. I enjoyed sitting on the front porch in the evenings reading and looking at Smelter Mountain. The location can't be better. Walk to everything on Main St. and walk the dogs for miles around town Don't forget to check out the Sky Steps just a couple of blocks away. I stayed for 8 weeks and loved every minute of it!
