Es ist mein zweites Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel. Die Lage ist an einem schönen Ort im Grünen gelegen. Für Reisende die außerhalb der Stadt ihren Aufenthalt planen kann ich Moat Lodge sehr empfehlen. Mit dem Bus in die City und zurück und Flughafen - Bustransfer sehr gut erreichbar. Gute Restaurants / Bar in der Umgebung. Die Unterkunft ist sehr sauber.

I loved tho Moat Lodge and its wonderful hostess/owner Astrid. The room was everything I needed it to be, clean and comfortable. The full Irish breakfast was delicious. The bathrooms were fully updated and tiled, lots of clean towels and complimentary shampoo and lotion. If you are looking for central Dublin, this isn't it. Lucan is a small village but a part of suburban Dublin. It has its own high street with banks, pubs, grocery and drug stores. Lucan is on the main road and the Airport hopper bus,(14.00 Euros each way if you don't book online but only 9.00 if you do) stops a short walking distance to the Lodge. I took the local bus into Dublin centre each day and it took about 25-30 minutes. I would certainly stay there again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Moat Lodge. The room/en suite was spotless clean, breakfast fantastic, comfortable bed, friendly, kind and helpful staff, lovely garden. Overall a fablous place to stay. Have recomended Moat Lodge to friends and hope to stay again in the future.

The lodge is beautiful, and the owner is really nice. For dinner, there's a small town just down the street, about a 10 min walk, with a variety of pubs and a lovely square. Would highly recommend!

Highly recommended B&B

Excellent accommodation tucked away from the crowds of Dublin, yet easily accessible by public transport (Bus 66, 67; for cost effectiveness, but Leap Visitor card for unlimited rides on buses, DART train, tram) including the airport shuttle (airporthopper. com; online ticket is very inexpensive). The B&B itself is superb: immaculately clean, quiet, strong WiFi, and superb breakfast. Lucan village is so pleasant, very safe with some great pubs for a pint or two. The hosts/owners are truly among hospitable people I've ever met. They also answer emails prior to arrival. I will surely stay here again!

Our family suit was very small and the hotel is not conveniently located for sightseeing or by the airport. I don’t recall why I picked it!

Village B&B on the outskirts of Dublin

Close to Dublin, a reasonably easy commute given the city and like everything in Dublin, over-priced but what to do? The location retains a quite, country village ambience with owners and staff who cannot do enough to make your stay better ...

Lovely Rooms and Hosts

I stayed here for work and it was perfect. Note this is a guesthouse not a hotel. The rooms are great, much higher standard than four star hotels I have stayed in within the area. Hosts are lovely. Breakfast is included. Very convenient for Lucan Village and surrounding area. Great value. I would definitely stay here again.

Really nice property, with very friendly owners. Centrally located and close to the bus stop to and from Dublin with plenty of bars and eateries within a minutes walk.

Very warm room and so early check out time

The check out time was very early . Like 10. I have never seen a hotel before with a check out time so early. Me and my girlfriend wanted to have good sleep and we checked in so late. Still. And the room was like an oven. I could have started a mini pantry there. Apart from that rest of them all good.

There simply aren't enough superlative adjectives to describe this wonderful B and B. Before making lodging arrangements in Ireland I did considerable research, and the reviews for Moat Lodge were so high that all other options were ruled out. The property is located in Lucan Village approximately 15 kilometers from Dublin city center. It is very easy to get from the airport to Moat Lodge on the Airport Hopper--it stops about 2 blocks away, and also very easy and inexpensive to travel to and from downtown on anyone of a half dozen buses. The rooms are immaculate, the breakfasts delicious, and Astrid is incredibly charming, accommodating. Staying here was more like staying with family.
