Needs a refurb

It is located conveniently to a few restaurants etc, however, it was very old & needed a refurb desperately. Shower pressure was great & bed comfortable, but the bed spreads were questionable.

We stayed for two nights in a small family room. Two adults and two children (8 and 6 years old). The room was clean and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable.

Friendly staff but the cold shower and broken kettle (no cup of tea) spoiled the stay.

Close to city centre and resturants

The hotel is within walking distance to the city centre and resturants. Although on a busy road our room was quiet. The room was a good size but the net curtains were a dark colour making the room appear dark.

Close to zoo and shops

Rooms are very basic but comfy. The fridges keep freezing everything and the tv is not compatible with current media

Enjoyable Stay

Very enjoyable stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Whilst the rooms are dated they are still comfortable and spacious.

Family friendly motel

Great location. Motel has own cafe downstairs. Lots of other fast food places on same street. Close to zoo, approximately 5 mins drive. Comfortable beds and lovely soft blankets. Good shower and nice hot water. Friendly caretakers.

The room was not as described. We opted to stay here over another motel that was cheaper as the room we booked had 1x queen and 3x single beds. When we opened the door we had a king (not complaining) double bunks and a trundle. The room was not big enough to cater for that configuration. When my wife used the bathroom she found a whole toenail (big toe) on the floor as well as hair mopped onto the walls. The bathroom felt and looked unclean. The carpet is old, stained and needs replacing. The room apparently caters for a family of 5 but only 2 small children could fit at the bench to eat their meal. The benches are old and tatty. Overall, I don't mind staying in an older style motel if it is clean. Unfortunately we felt that our room had been neglected as it was a long weekend and turnover was paramount rather than customer satisfaction.

Facilities: Awesome shower!; Value: Great deal; Service: Friendly and helpful; Cleanliness: Spotless.; A fabulous surprise for the price we paid. We have stayed in more expensive places without the value that the Countryman had.
