"The hotel is an older hotel, with 1980s/1990s decor, which is not a problem for us as long as it is clean and safe. There is undoubtedly a systemic mold problem in the hotel. All registers were black with dust (and probably positive for mold spores). I suffer with allergies and woke up both mornings with a horrible headache, head congestion and coughing. The outside pool area was the highlight of the stay. It is unfortunate that the hotel is not better kept - it has a very unique and welcoming layout with the courtyard/pool area and spacious balconies. Breakfast was okay, not too many healthy options, but hot complimentary breakfasts are hard to come by these days, so that was nice. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone that suffers allergies or has a concern with exposure to mold."

"Free coffee is great. Check in was pain/free and fast. Room wasn’t cleaned clean and AC kept us cool. Elevators were fine and plenty of ice. Pool no longer exists…were informed it had been filled in. Asked about dinner options but front desk didn’t have many suggestions. Recommend they have a list to share. Unfortunately, our room wasn’t cleaned 2 of our 3 days (yes the DND sign was off the knob). We had trash and towels piled up which trash was emptied, and used towel retrieval, at our request to the front desk But beds weren’t made, nor carpet vacuumed, nor bathroom counters cleaned after 1st day (4 night stay). So not cleaned 2/3 days. Breakfast was ho-hum. If you like their little omelettes it was great. Friday and Sunday the hot food was pretty empty during prime breakfast time. No biscuit gravy on the days they had biscuits (I was looking forward to it being in NC). So I went with butter-substitute and honey.👎 Parking was fine and available."

"The place was good for the price we paid, and the host responded quickly whenever I had questions. I’m not sure if the cleaning crew did a good clean prior to our arrival. The home had a smell to it that we couldn’t get out even with febreze/Clorox spray. Also, it may help to have the front porch sprayed for bugs, as there were quite a few large ants on the steps.Overall, we still enjoyed our stay and appreciated the hosts communication."

"Very clean! The outside could use a clean up but the inside was very clean. Very comfy, well supplied and great location! We went for my son’s graduation from NCState and the location was wonderful. The only negative thing about the house is the two spare bedrooms had very hard mattresses. Even for a teenager. We had to purchase a foam topper from Walmart for my daughter who is 16 to be able to sleep comfortably. Most of the time, teens can sleep anywhere and be fine, but not in these beds. The master bedroom had a wonderful mattress but the other bedrooms have very hard, thin mattresses. Other than that, the house was wonderful! I would highly recommend! Just pack a foam mattress topper for the two twin beds and the queen!"
