Steps Cottage was a beautiful holiday home which has been refurbished to a high standard. The property is clean and well equiped. We ordered a welcome meal which was delicious and took care of the first nights meal, we also ate at the New Inn which was also lovely. We would happily stay again!
We strongly recommend the property to families as it was everything we hoped for. Nearby pubs for food and drinks as well as great proximity for the coastal walks. One downside is the weak internet connection hence the patchy access to favourite family shows on the streaming services on the main TV.
Excellent property which was spotless, warm and cosy. A brill time was had by all 8 adults. We went to the black dog in Broadmayne New Year’s Eve.
Everything we could wish for. Didn’t want to come home but all good things come to an end.
Would recommend and definitely visit again.
We booked for a week, to stay at this lovely cottage. In a quite village, owner was helpful. We ordered two meals , from the local pub The New Inn. Which they also own, each meal serves 6 and only costs £20. Very filling and lovely meals . We would stay again , has a bus stop if needed . But only a short drive to get places, such as. The Durdle Door, Weymouth, monkey world and Slip N Slide
We were two middle aged couples looking for a comfortable cottage as a base for some walking in Dorset, and Steps Cottage fitted the bill perfectly. Plenty of space and well equipped, although some deckchairs in the garden so that we could have enjoyed the weather after returning from our walks would have been welcome. Stacey was a great host, as were the staff at the very nearby New Inn - highly recommended for great ale and some good cooking. Already planning a return visit.
We had a comfortable stay at Steps Cottage. It was the perfect house for our family and thank you very much indeed for providing the baby high chairs, the travel cots - all set up for us ready to use and some biscuits and many bits and pieces provided which made our stay easier. The house was great with ample crockery, cutlery, pots, pans and everything we needed for a smooth holiday We would give you 5+ stars for all that. The Christmas decorations, trees, lights and tinsel, toys for the children were all great and it felt very Christmassy. We loved our stay and by some miracle!! managed to vacate the property by 10.30 am as agreed with all the children. The house was warm and cosy, the internet is not great but we were carrying a 'firestick' which made that side of things easier for the children. The beds were comfy and all the towels fluffy. The beds were comfy. It was a lovely quiet place to stay and we would stay there again.
Stacey answered all our questions and responded by providing everything we needed including travel cots for the babies and high chairs.
Thanks we enjoyed our stay very much and would stay again.
We loved this lovely property. It was very spacious and bright.
The owner was always on hand with any queries we had.
We ordered the fish pie for when we arrived and it was delicious.
There is a park and ride 20mins away which is perfect for getting to Weymouth beach.
Highly recommend booking to have dinner at the new inn pub which is less than a min walk down the hill.
Beds are comfortable and they have travel cots which is great. The showers were lovely and spacious too.
