Family celebration 🎉

Stayed here as we were visiting family for a birthday celebration. staff very friendly, hotel clean, mattress was amazing we slept really well 💤 we were located in the middle of the hotel so no noise from outside I would definitely recommend this as the street is very busy and loud. Will stay here again.

Greeted well with helpfullness

The receptionist staff was friendly and the beds were comfy. Everything was within a ten minutes walk from the hotel such as nightclubs, bars , restaurants, wool market and shopping centre. Decorated in the reception to the horse racing. It also had 2 ways to have a shower and a bath with a radiators in the bathroom.

Excellent service from all staff. Lovely quiet room . Breakfast was nice a lot of choice. Unfortunately the bed was not right but I used a grounding sheet which really helped for the second night. Overall I recommend this hotel :)

Hotel was really nice, close to all amenities the rooms were quite spacious and looked lovely, but could do with fresh coat of paint in areas and few things could do with upgrades.

Would definitely return

The room was used more as a base as we had a day and night out planned. The room was surprisingly small but did what it was intended for. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and went out of their way to give directions etc as we tried to find club after club. The location is fantastic, there's a pleasant reception area with a nice decor and a small bar. I would definitely return!

Bad stay

Punch hole in bathroom door, broken bottom of bathroom door, walls crumbling in bedroom. Tissue with blood on it under the bed, bed on a angle. While having breakfast, staff then came down and finished a lot of the buffet off before I had finished taking what I wanted. Just a overall bad stay and the £20 early check in was a joke as well as arrived 1 hour ealry

It good. It great. I like this hotel. The breakfast was the happy type, with self service hot and cold available. The power shower was super and the checkout time was just the best option available right up to 12.00 as ALL hotels should be. The room, large size with the bonus of a lovely bed, pillows were terrible and no extras provided. You could make own teas and coffee in room, 15 milk provided and reoccurring sugar was no issue. Hotel next to a nightclub but little noise. Lots of areas to relax and enjoy the hotel mini break. The staff should be given bonus as very happy and informative especially Ebony who told us all about the Yorkshire Park that we were visiting. Check in easy and a breeze, I chose English as my preferred language as I was born in the UK. Water with fruit pieces available at breakfast, I enjoyed unlimited butter. Temu ornaments in reception give an inclusive and homely feel. Life very small but useful to get to know people on a more intimate level. Fast acceleration and access to floors without delay. Overall, happy and delighted experience of the hotel facilities, joy from the staff and happy the guest who has the short or long trip. Thank you to friends at Mercure Doncaster, the key cars was produced from wood grain material. Only negative was the pillows disintegrated beneath your head. Hash browns a bit dry but sausages were full of meat, especially the ones I had for breakfast. 13 out of 14 for this hotel. Happy to return.

I stayed for 9 nights. PROS: the staff. Faith was a great face for thw property and checked me in efficiently and was very friendly and accommodating. Ice bucket ready Paige was very sweet.professional and also went out of her way. She was always there for me with an ice bucket. (A big deal for me as there is no fridge in the room). Oliver, i did not see as much, but was always pleasant. Rene was very professional balanced with friendliness. He gave me the courtesy of asking about my stay and, more importantly, listened and took note of my concerns and suggestions. I hope that they are passed on and considered. Also, that i receive feedback regarding the issues having been addressed. Cons: housekeeping was lacking in attention to detail but slso cleanliness. The lamp hanging over the bed was dusty. There were no facecloths in the bathroom for me to clean it and wipe down spills. They emptied the bins (which had no bags) and changed the towels. Other than that, there was no apparent cleaning or vacuuming. The rooms are small so there is not much space for things. I dod leave items on the bed, so i understand policy is not to make the beds. No problem. The wardrobe was a bit fusty, due to humidity, which did permiate clothing. All of this was conveyed to Rene, who i am sure will have it in hand. I forgot to tell Rene about the above sink light not working. No phone in room ( not unusuL wirh motels)There is a switch to turnon power to heat and towel rack.

the hotel is very clean with lovely spacious rooms, the breakfast is good but could do with cooking the bacon and sausages a little less, would be good to have a toilet brush in the bathroom overall very good stay

✅ Pros Excellent location: Situated right in Doncaster town centre, very convenient for shops, transport, and local attractions. Privilege room assignment: Thankfully given a quieter room not facing the High Street, which helped reduce noise. Room amenities: Reasonable space. Small fridge was a lifesaver during the hot August weather. ⚠️ Cons Noise issues: Hotel is surrounded by clubs and bars on the High Street. Even in a quieter room, low bass noise persisted late into the night. Tip: Request a room away from the street when booking. Wardrobe design flaw: Hangers placed above the fridge area. No ability to move hangers to a more spacious section. No suitable space for hanging longer garments like suits or dresses. Bed accessibility: Bed is unusually high. Difficult for older guests to climb in and out comfortably. Lighting inconvenience: Bedside lamps have no switches. No master control to turn off all lights from the bed. Requires getting up to switch off lights manually. Housekeeping lapse: Body soap dispenser was empty during shower. Requested refill took over 20 minutes with no action until chased. Very disappointing response time, especially when tired and needing rest. Basic amenities like soap should be checked and stocked proactively.

Bedside lamps have no switches nor USB sockets

Bed is a bit high, hard for older people get in bed easily

Cannot move the hangers to other side nor hang the suit or dress up

Nice and clean hotel but very hot in the rooms as no air con and we were in a room on the Main Street and it was so noisy I barely got any sleep so not ideal getting woken up every hour by outside noise but other than that nice hotel
