Staff were excellent. The lodge is a little tired in places, in need of a revamp in my opinion, but still a wonderful experience. Lovely evening meal, limited menu, and breakfast.

Fantastic place to stay in the heart of the Daintree. Very close to all activities - ice-cream place, wildlife centre, Thorton and Cape Tribulation beaches and the numerous boardwalks. We were lucky enough to see two cassowaries, and a dusky-rat kangaroo. If you are eating there at night, we highly recommend the wild caught Barramundi. ( I loved it so much I had it 3 nights in a row.) It is superb. Thanks to owner Liv and her team for making us feel so welcome at her lovely place to escape the rat race and go off grid and find yourself. Highly recommended.

Forest Oasis!

Hidden gem in the Daintree, individual cabins immersed in the rainforest. Onsite restaurant serving surprisingly good grub given the remote location! Rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. Fabulous base from which to explore the Daintree. Great Barrier Reef easily accessible from nearby Cape Tribulation.

We had a great one night stay. The cabins were thoughtfully set up to ensure a comfortable stay. The cabins were light and airy and really maximised the experience of staying in the rainforest. Also saw a cassowary come feed near the main board walk - the experience was surreal!

We did not stay at the Daintree Wilderness due to Expedia overbooking at this hotel. The staff at Daintree Wilderness tried unsuccessfully to notify us and unsolicited found us another hotel nearby to stay Cockatoo hotel which was lovely the owner was gracious and helpful and the room had a large window overlooking the forest. It was light and airy and clean. We were so impressed with Daintree Wilderness staff apology and willing to make it right even though it was not their error. We returned to Daintree for dinner-delicious! Barramundi, potatoes, salad, and the service was friendly and professional. We returned to Daintree the next morning for breakfast which was delicious and fresh-bacon, sourdough bread, fried egg over medium (perfection!), jam with a fresh pot of coffee and juice. So good. Although we did not stay at Daintree we recommend it for the excellent service, the friendly and kind staff and the accommodation on the outside appeared homey and yet modern.
