  • My dad's friend owns a really cool karting circuit in Pageas, a few kilometres from Chalus where I grew up in France. They are both hunters. I know this is not everyone's cup of tea, but a lot of people from that generation in rural France do like hunting, fishing, fetching mushrooms. There are woodlands all around the karting circuit. My dad and his friend have built some platforms in the trees, and from mid-October to mid-November they go there every morning to shoot migrating birds. Those ones are some sort of wood pigeons going from Eastern Europe / Russia to North Africa. I did my own shooting that morning... with my camera! The sunrise was spectacular with some nice pink colours and mist in the valley.

L'accueil des propriétaires est excellent. le gîte est au calme, dans la nature. Tout est propre. Je suis donc vraiment contente de mon séjour et je recommande et le gîte et les propriétaires qui sont sympathiques. J'en dirais moins du site Abritel qui est une horreur. Pour communiquer avec les propriétaires il faut obligatoirement passer par eux, avec des envois de code. D'un ordinateur, c'est faisable, mais ma voiture est tombée en panne à vingtaine de Kilomètres de l'arrivée, et depuis mon smartphone, ca a été une vraie galère pour prévenir les propirétaires pour leur dire que j'avais du retard. En plus tout était en anglais! Dorénavant je fuirais ce site, qui de plus vous contacte, après insciption et paiement, sous la référence VBO, puis ExpédiaJ 'ai cru que c'était un pirate et j'ai failli mettre le mail à la poubelle!
