A great, relaxing stay in Diamantina!

We enjoyed a great stay in Pousada Pouso da Chica, in the heart of historic Diamantina. A beautiful restored house functions as the main building, with the reception desk, the breakfast room and some hotel rooms. I the quiet garden some chalets are situated, each with it's own porch, with two chairs and a hammock. We enjoyed our stay in a luxury chalet: good beds, a fridge, satellite tv (bilingual programs in Portuguese and English), bathroom (with shower, amenities, good towels). Everything is clean and well maintained. Free parking is available on the street in front of the hotel (under camera surveillance), or on an enclosed terrain about 200m from the hotel. In the morning a delicious fresh local breakfast is served by Dona Adriana, who gladly explains the various dishes, shares recipes and origins of the food. The hotel staff is exceptionally friendly: they help where possible - to carry luggage, escort you to the parking, tell about Diamantina, suggest about restaurants and places to visit and call ahead in case you want to go places in this beautiful city! We really did enjoy our stay in Pousada Pouso da Chica and hope to be back there anytime soon!

O local e muito bonito e o atendimento foi espetacular, o único ponto negativo foi a cama, pois pedimos uma casa de casal e tinha duas camas de solteiros juntas que durante a noite formava um buraco entre elas.

The Pousada “Pouso da Chica” is located the center of Diamantina in a compound of two beautifully renovated historic houses. The interior is very artfully done and of excellent taste. The staff is very friendly. We had a great experience!

Experiência deliciosa

Tivemos uma estadia maravilhosa na pousada Pouso da Chica! A localização é perfeita, dando acesso a pé a varios pontos turísticos da cidade e a pousada é um espetáculo a parte, instalada em duas casas históricas, com afrescos muito bem conservados e uma decoração charmosa e aconchegante. Os funcionários e o proprietário, sr Bernardo, sao de uma gentileza impar, e nos sentimos muito bem acolhidos. Ficamos em um quarto reformado, amplo, muito limpo e confortável, e com uma vista muito bonita. Os quitutes do cafe da manhã e o caldinho servido a noite completam a experiência...ja da vontade de voltar!
