I checked in on March 20,2026. When we went to sleep at night, I noticed that there were bed bugs between the mattress sheets and also in the pillow cases. The toilet got clogged by the first time usage. We spent a horrible first night. Next day, we had to wait after 9:00 am for the maintenance staff to show up and fix the toilet. So we left the building for several hours to give them time to take care of things. We came back to find out the toilet was fixed but the room was not cleaned and the bed sheets were not changed. We had to call the staff again and waited for another half an hour in the lobby until they cleaned the room and replaced the bed sheets. Obviously the whole building conditions are deteriorating. Stay away from this hotel even if the price looks reasonable. IT IS NOT WORTH IT.

The staff was not helpful when we asked for help nor were they friendly about it. We did not get the room that we had reserved for a family of four making a miserable night’s stay. The pool was not clean and cool. The hallways and common areas reeked of marijuana. We will not book here again in the future.

I’ve never been to a hotel where every single time we left our room, we would need to go have the front desk redo our room key because it would not work, “they’re older than dirt” is what one of the clerks said! I went to blow dry my hair and the room didn’t have a blow dryer, went down to ask and they didn’t even have a back up. Two towels were left in our room for the weekend stay

Prior to booking this hotel we saw a few reviews which made us wonder if we were booking the right hotel. Well I can tell you, we made the right choice. The bed was comfortable, no issues with the staff & they were all very friendly, breakfast was good and no issues with the parking. We would certainly stay there again without hesitation.

Have stayed at the same location last Aug and had an enjoyable stay. When i was time to book another trip home I book my stay here. I arrived early and after explaining to the desk clerk i had been up 42 hrs he allowed me an early check in. There was a heavy musky (weed) smell. It maybe the 2 large dispensaries.that are around the hotel. Set room dated the carpet needed to be restreched the water was barely warm in the shower but I didn't care I needed to sleep. Kids in the next room making noise all night. When I left my room in the morning to go get breakfast people had thrown their trash in the hallway. I think this might be a Detroit thing as i've traveled extensively thur the US and Europe and i've never seen anything like this. Only in Detroit. I lived 45 years in Detroit , and i've never seen that. Breakfast over returning to my room, the lady next door open the door out came 6 kids.Then another woman and 4 kids.12 people in one room?? No wonder there was so much noise coming from that room.

I’m a Sailor for the Navy and had Duty in Selfridge Air National Guard base . The lobby was clean but when you got to the stairs there was dirt on the stairs . But more importantly I stayed one night , and got bit by Bed Bugs on my arms, legs, and back , had to go to Urgent Care to get a steroid shot , and after the doctor at the Urgent Care told me to report the incident to the Michigan Board of Health . Which I’m going to do . La Quinta wouldn’t give me another room because they told me that the hotel was full. I only stayed two night the first night I got bit , the second I asked for another room but they told me that didn’t have any, So the second night I stayed in my room with my clothes on in the bathroom . I asked for a refund showing my bug bits but didn’t get none and had to pay for two nights . I asked for assistance but the desk wouldn’t help me or refund my money . Don’t go here unless you want to go to the hospital or urgent care the next day !

Nice hotel, clean beds. What didn’t like is no one cleans the room until you check out. No clean towels, no vacuuming and kids run up and down the halls. The hotel needed an update and a few repairs but it wasn’t bad for a short stay.

I appreciated the stay, I was in a situation. The cost of the stay was perfect for the room. The shower could have been much warmer and my key kept getting desensitized, surprised because I kept it away from other cards. I didn’t eat breakfast, having a bug less room with clean sheets and no smells was good enough.
