"Nice property, well decorated. I was a bit confused with self check in (old school traveler here) but the owners were thankfully on site when we arrived to show us around. The restaurant is closed during the week which was disappointing after a very long day in the car, but they had a kitchen area with a microwave and prepared food ( I did not try anything) My only complaint would be the noise I could hear in the adjacent room and “bowlers”above. It is a very old castle so do not expect sound proof rooms …. And “honeymooners” beware! Thankfully the guests all seemed to respect a 10pm quiet time unwritten rule and we were able to sleep peacefully. The gourmet breakfast was phenomenal! Overall good stay, would highly recommend. "
