David was great at setting up transportation for activities including airport. Staff take time and special interest in helping you. Room services excellent.

Beautiful room

Through various reasons we had to extend twice, and reception desk staff organised our extensions for reasonable prices with great patience and great assistance. Our junior suites are very comfortable with all requirements cleverly included. Restaurant has excellent breakfast and dinner. Honesty can’t pick a fault. Would recommend to anyone.

The Kinson is a beautiful place in a residential area of Melbourne. The staff is friendly and helpful and they let me check in a couple of hours before the check in time. My room was nicely furnished with all amenities. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Excellent vintage-style hotel near Swinburne campus. Despite being located next to a pub, the noise didn’t bother me. My room featured a whirlpool bath (unexpected!) and two beds (king+single). It was more than reasonably priced for its comfort. The only downside - my window faced a brick wall. I stayed there for two night during my professional visit of the Swinburne University of Technology. Will definitely stay there again when I come back.

Met all our needs

We arrived at 4:30pm and the lady, Renee, at reception told us that we had enough time to make it to the complimentary wine tasting at Shadowfax. It was 5 minute walk. We completed check-in and walked quickly over to the wine tasting. We expected them to turn us down or act like they didn’t want to serve us. The gentleman who led the wine tasting was so accommodating and didn’t treat us like we were running in last second. For that, we did buy a bottle when we probably wouldn’t have otherwise....

This hotel is was lovely find. Recently under new management it is a work in progress regarding opening the Bistro but hopefully it will open soon.. My room was upgraded from standard to a very spacious room with a separate bedroom and a spa. Very clean, very comfortable and unexpectedly quiet. I was on the ground floor facing Blackburn Rd, however there is a very solid concrete fence that provided an excellent buffer between the room and the traffic. It must be said there are a lot of rooms...

The instructions for keys and car retrieval was not very clear and we got very frustrated. A key box at the top of the stairs , a key box in the car park. A little testy .
