「My family and I, enjoyed our stay at Portman's... The rooms were very clean. The shops are very close including restaurants. I will stay there again next time.」

「Avoid this place! All they want is to get your money and then ignore whatever problems you have! I stayed for 3 days, for 3 days there was no hot water in my room, everyday I complained and everyday they’d tell me it was fixed. At the end I was told I would get some refund and then never heard back, never answer my calls I was told to avoid this place by others I work with however I didn’t listen. I highly recommend staying at the local pubs or caravan park」

「Although the unit we stayed in was compact, it was perfectly laid out and furnished. The standard of the kitchen equipment, crockery and cutlery was much better than anywhere I've stayed. The furniture, bedding and general styling was done very thoughtfully across the bathroom, bedroom, kitchen and living room to make the whole place comfortable and sumptuous. Its location in a quiet cul-de-sac near the centre of town was just right.」

「We stayed in room 10 aircon didn’t work properly. Room was very hot and uncomfortable. Reception came to look fiddled around with it, didn’t help. We went back and told them, they said we can’t change rooms, even though it wasn’t booked out. The milk in the room was off and out of date. They have a leak in the bathroom, floor was alway wet. Would never stay here again. 」

「A beautiful home away from home, George couldn’t have been more accomodating and friendly, we felt ever so welcome and our city Kelpie X dog was where he should have always been bought up, in his element. The pub does a great meal and whilst in the beautiful country, there is so much nearby, great food, lovely country shops and many things to see. This is where we will go when we need to step back from it all and be reminded about what’s important. Thank you George, we will be back and...
