"Beautiful new hotel on the beach. Grounds are immaculately kept. Nice pool & bathing area under palm trees. Beach bar too. Food was nice and open all hours. Can walk via the beach to other restaurants easily. Would recommend the dolphin watching & snorkelling on pigeon island. You can go to Nilaveli for the day for a more quiet, cleaner beach."

"Great central location in uppuveli. Easy walk to beach. Big breakfast every Morning but it wasn’t fabulous. However it set us up for the day. Not sure we needed the pool as the sea was so close and warm. But families were loving it and it was Nice and clean. Water went off every day for a period as did electricity- the electricity I think was all of uppuveli. Toilet broke on first day and was mended within the hour. I would say good value for the price. Budget travellers would find this property...

"Very happy with my stay at Havana Club. Staff were absolutely amazing and super helpful. One of the guest in my party has a serious food allergy and they went out of their way to cook a special breakfast each day for her dietary needs and ensured us staff would be mindful of cross contamination during the food prep process. Can’t say enough great things about them"

"Beautiful property and the staff here is fantastic. It's a short walk to the beach and some small shops where you can buy snacks and drinks etc if needed. There are many restaurants on the beach to get lunch and dinner as well. They provide a nice breakfast and everyone is very kind and attentive especially Gayathri and Nazeem. Definitely had a good experience here and would recommend."

"We had booked into this property through Expedia only to be told on arrival after a very long journey that they had no rooms for us or booking and in fact the manager mentioned he had never heard of Expedia !! All of this after the full money was paid in advance for 3 night stay for group of seven. It was around 6 pm and it took a lot of effort to get through to Expedia to discuss refund that eventually settled but I had to arrange alternative accommodation which was quite stressful. Be...
