「Our family was on a 10-day road trip from Texas to California, and this was our last stop on the way home—by far our favorite of the entire trip! Traveling with our 3 kids and a pup, there was truly something for everyone. We loved the rich history paired with modern conveniences. 「 The kitchen was fuilly equiped with everything I needed to cook. The ac work very well, and the inside of the cabin was clean. It was very peaceful, just what i wanted. I am sure it gets busy in the summer time, but i chose the right time to make this trip. There was a fire ring outside the cabin as well as a a BQQ grill. The frio river is just a few feet away which was really great. Be sure to bring your own bed sheets, linens, and pillows.」

「I picked this cabin for the proximity of several hiking locations. Perfect location to enjoy Garner State Park, Lost Maples Natural Area, the Frio and several local hiking/ biking areas. The room was super clean. Exactly as pictured. Mattress was very comfortable and the extra blankets came in handy on a 35 degree night. Great views from the porch and around the property. 「The assortment of deer, axis, fallow, and antelope was so cool! We fed some out of our hands! The cabin was adorable and the grounds were very nicely kept! Our only complaint is that we didn’t stay longer!」

「The Whiskey Mountain cabins have been my favorite place to stay in the Leakey, TX area. Ihave stayed several times in different cabins. The cabins are very clean and cozy. It's conveniently located between Leakey and Garner State Park. The hosts are extremely accommodating and responsive to any needs you have.」
