Hotel Bonaventure Montreal

10/10 Excellent

"Great downtown hotel, near train station, Centre Bell, buses to casino, airport, and other attractions (shopping, McGill, Mount Royal...). Has lovely gardens on rooftop and heated pool (about 28 C), hot tubs, sauna...rooms fairly large, walkin showers, quiet ( only hear occasionally passerby in hall talking...can connect via underground path to train station/many shops/restaurants if weather bad. Staff were friendly and welcoming."

"I’ve stayed at this location a number of times before either with friends or my family. We always had parking in the building. It was very heavy rain and for some reason there was absolutely no parking in the building except for valet and we had to park offsite for the same fee I used to pay for onsite parking. Other than that we did enjoy our short weekend stay."

"Elevator kept breaking down and had to continually take the stairs. No hairdryer in room and went to front desk and asked for one but it never arrived. Ended up buying one. Floors were not the cleanest as my feet got dirty walking around the room. Overpriced due to F1 weekend but I was in the city for my daughter’s university graduation. For over $800 one night, you should get a hairdryer in your room!! Next time I’ll be staying somewhere else."

"L'hôtel est très bien situé, cependant, avec les travaux actuellement en cours sur le boulevard rend le nuit courte. Les travaux arrêtaient vers 22h00 et déjà vers 5h30, sa recommençais. La chambre est propre, bien meublé, mais le fait de ne pas avoir de chaise extérieur malgré la présence d'un balcon est étrange. J'ai du sortir une chaise à l'extérieur, et ce n'est pas entretenue, sol extérieur du balcon très sale. La climatisation fonctionne très bien, mais avait un odeur de lait caillé. Sinon, très bon séjour."

"Chambre propre, mais la cuisinette n’a aucun ustensile donc apporter les votres. Il manquait draps et serviettes, mais on nous les as apportés après appel à la réception. Quelques trous dans les draps, mais propres. Salle de bain propre avec gel douche, shampooing et lait corporel. Parking souterrain payant (14$/jour).. Beaucoup de bruits à l’étage où nous étions malheureusement ce qui a terni un peu notre séjour pour le marathon d’Ottawa (on voulait du calme et dormir pour être en forme). Personnel agréable. Situé à 3,5k du départ du marathon donc pratique à pied."

"Rooms were very dated and kind of dingy. The carpet was somewhat grungy and there were stains on the furniture by the bed. There were chips in the wall and holes in the lampshades. There was no main light switch, just dim individual lamps, one of which didn't work at all and one flickered like a stobe light when turned up, leaving the room dark and gloomy unless it was daytime. For the bathroom, the plumbing had low pressure so the toilet doesn't always flush fully and the shower was weak, but hot water was good. The bed was clean, but very springy and overly mushy. The thermostat seemed to struggle, several degrees warmer than AC listed on not that hot a day, so peak summer might be rough. We received a welcome gift, that was one pair of slippers (we were a couple), one pair of earplugs, and a bag of chips. Staff was very friendly, lobby very nice, but overall I left with a much lower impression of the Omni name."
