Gorgeous, breathtaking views no matter where you look. Stunning views of the lake and the mountains can be seen from your bed, the couch, and even from the tub in the bathroom. I don't need to say much about this amazing hotel. The location is incredibly convenient to downtown Queenstown. You can walk to all of the restaurants and nightlife. All of the staff are attentive and helpful. The room we stayed in had a top-notch bed and luxurious sheets. The floors in the bathroom are heated, as is the towel rack. There was a TV in the bathroom for the tub area. It isn't the cheapest hotel in town, but for the price it is worth it and then some.

Location is great, great and great. I enjoyed tracks as far as to Queenstown centre, had light lunch and took bus #1 back to the hotel, just 50 feet walking. Also benefit by taking other bus routes to explore the beauty of QT. Most of all, I must to tell, the library just cross block. Fantastic books and magazine collection. I would want to come back in winter time and to stay here again.

Inexpensive and very nice. I would come back. Quiet. Out of the way. Seems remote but Not too far from town. Only caution is the dryer. Not very effective and very expensive. Washer can wash a lot more than dryer can dry.

Had a beautiful view of the Remarkables. The internet connection was fast. I was able to have a Zoom meeting with no issues. Parking is a bit limited, so you need to get there earlier in the day or have to pay for parking at a nearby lot.

Found my new place to stay whenever I am in Queenstown. Very clean rooms, easy check-in & check-out and staff ( Gordon & Will) were extremely professional.

We had a lake view room and the view of the lake was very nice. The location is good but you do have to walk up a bit of a steep hill to return from the city center. It is a short distance and helps you to walk off your Fergburger. The hotel is modern and clean and has a helpful staff. Parking is very limited so reserve early. There is free street parking around the area but you may have to walk a bit.

Convenient 5 min walk to town, clean, helpful and has everthing for a short stay. Have stayed here twice and would stay again.

This is a great location, close to eateries and the lake. Also it was worthwhile to go up to the War Memorial which is very near the hotel for a view of the town and the lake.

This fit our needs just fine. Kitchen was adequately supplied. Beds were comfortable. Not fancy and maybe a little higher than our other south island hotels but a good place

I loved my stay at this place. Lovely property, my room had a kitchenette and a lake view. Close to everything within the walking distance. Very nice manager.

I found this hotel completely by chance on Expedia. It was my absolute favorite hotel of the entire trip. You get a complimentary bottle of fresh, local milk at check-in. The rooms are extremely tastefully designed and modern. There are no TVs in the rooms, but it encourages you to explore what else the Sherwood has to offer. The restaurant and bar was some of the best I experienced. They grow their produce on site and make almost everything from scratch. You can even take yoga classes there...
