「Great location and surrounding area 」

「I booked this last minute as our other booking cancelled and we needed somewhere to stay for a nearby wedding. Wow this is a gorgeous place. Everything from organising an early check in for us to the lovely breakfast the next day was amazing. Our room was like a suite with a lovely super king bed and the bathroom was also massive. For the price you pay it’s such a good deal and we will be returning and might book the golf or evening meal as add ons. 」

「Matfen Hall really is outstanding, my stay was faultless. All staff were so warm, welcoming and helpful- I was greeted upon arrival with a welcome drink and my bags were taken up to my room whilst I checked in and relaxed in the Great Hall. Every nook and cranny of this hotel is gorgeous, beautifully crafted and fabulously furnished, including the room I was allocated. 「We had a first class break over Christmas, nothing was too much trouble for Michael,the owner, the room was very clean and cosy. Lovely bathroom,eco friendly shampoo etc. Breakfast was plentiful, could only manage a small one!! Would recommend Farne Island B and B. A big thank you to Michael! 」

「Both of our hosts made us very welcome and put themselves out to check on evening activities in sorrounding areas for my 11 year old granddaughter. The ensuite family room was beautiful with coffee .tea and bottled water and biscuits. Breakfast also excellent choices.. Will stay again.」
