We stayed in bungalow 2 and it was extremely clean, well appointed and very private. Our private plunge pool was beautiful and clean and we used it every day. The staff works very hard to keep the property clean. The service staff made every meal and cocktail we enjoyed at the property pleasant. The property is conveniently located within walking distance of all of the local shops, markets and stores. The locals are the friendliest and happiest people on earth. We highly recommend Namu and hope to visit again! "

"This place is an oasis in the rain forest! Beautiful grounds and the staff and owner were the best! Water taxis and walking is how you get around. Ton's of wildlife and a great experience! I would call it "rustic elegance". Just one item that may bother others is there is no climate control in the rooms. That did not bother us since they all have ceiling fans, but it may be a consideration of some."

"We were genuinely sad we only had one night to stay at Banana Azul! Check in was quick and efficient and friendly. The fresh coconut was a lovely treat. The Howler Suite was charming and the view magical. The food in the restaurant was delicious. I highly recommend Banana Azul if you want an authentic Costa Rica experience that’s right on the Playa Negra beach. I’ll definitely be returning. "
