"I really like the location of this hotel/onsen. It's right on the river and you can hear and view it as you soak in the onsen or as you're enjoying tea in your room. The staff tried their best to help us in english. Between that and Google we were able to figure things out. The only disappointment is that meals were included but we were never told that we had to reserve and same day reservations are not permitted. "We had a little trouble finding the hotel because we couldn't pull up the map easily, so a local woman showed us where it was. The staff was friendly and the public bath was nice. The room was adequate and clean. We had to ask to get our complementary breakfast and it seemed like an afterthought (a couple of pieces of bread and some soup). Overall, it was good for a one-night stay. It was a reasonable price too!"
