「One of the best landscaped properties I’ve ever experienced」

「What a beautiful experience! I HIGHLY recommend. My husband and I were looking for a quiet, peaceful, jungle experience and Mystic River delivered. The grounds are beautiful and well kept, and our room was wonderful and the bed was comfy. Steve, Mike & Olivia went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Steve & Olivia took care of us at the facility and Mike was our wonderful tour guide the entire stay. The food was delicious and perfectly plated (many thanks to the chef) and the rum punch...

「They’re updating a lot of the properties at this moment, re tiled the pools, built a new outdoor pizza oven, are freshening up the cabana’s, to prepare for the upcoming high season.」

「The staff at Villa Massis made us feel like family from the second we walked in! The food and drinks were wonderful. The room was perfect. The property is absolutely beautiful! Joelle (spelling?) was extremely warm and helpful. He booked us a private tour to Xunantunich Mayan Ruins. Mark was our guide and the tour was incredible! Their bartender, Gio, knew exactly how to cool us off after a hot day. Lucy always had the most beautiful smile on her face. The owner (can't remember his name) was...

「Staff was great and verry accommodating. Food was not so good. One pool was a little dirty because they didn't have it circulating. The other pool was other other side of the property. The roads coming in were absolutely horrible. Very rocky and washed out」

「The setting in the mountains is beautiful, and the place has a fun, rustic atmosphere. However, there were several disappointments during our stay. The listing advertises air conditioning, but it’s important to understand that the rooms are screened in, so the AC does not cool the entire room. You can only really feel it when you’re lying in bed with the curtains closed. Also, the air blows directly onto your face, and there’s no way to adjust the airflow. I actually had to sleep with my head...

「Great stay! Beautiful, quiet, well kept grounds. Clean accommodations and very comfortable beds. Staff was friendly and helpful. Convient to town and free pick for most tours in the area. Would definitely stay again.」

「It wasn't a bad stay but it wasn't what I expected. Instead of a room in the main hotel, we were upgraded to a cabin, in the back of the property where it was so dark I drove into the concrete septic block! No damage fortunately. And I guess back there was better than being up front because of a loud party on a Monday night. At least the room was clean, the bathroom was huge, and the bed was comfortable for the price. Unlikely to return.」

「Like many eco lodges in the area, rooms are basically screened-in porchs with adjustable shutters - perfect for the setting, but very exposed. So, I get up at 2:30am for a routine bathroom visit, and let me add the (surprisingly relevant) detail that it was the quick and quiet #1 variety. Just as I was back in bed turning off the light, someone in the dark just outside my window asked 'Are you alright?'. Startled, at first I assumed this was a conversation between 2 people coincidentally on...

「I absolutely LOVED my stay at Falling Leaves Lodge. My partner and I were blown away with the service, attentive staff, beautiful grounds, and clean room. Paula at the front desk went above and beyond for us, whether it was confirming our excursions, arranging taxis, or ordering us early breakfast, she handled it all. The groundskeepers were so kind, setting up lounge chairs and allowing us to connect to the Bluetooth speaker by the pool. The on-site restaurant had a large menu and every dish we...

「Well my daughter and I stayed for 3 nights. From the beginning of our arrival we were welcomed! Loved our time there. The entire staff are super friendly and kind. We especially loved getting to know Fiona and her family. We enjoyed all the meals they prepared for us. Thank you guys for a wonderful place to be☆」

「Convenient to downtown, very nice staff.」

「The staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a lot to do at the hotel, which is very clean, with a great restaurant.」

「Prices are not cheap for food and excursions so be prepared, but service and quality are excellent for everything. It’s a good ecological hotel so don’t expect or complain about air conditioning. It’s perfectly manageable without having it.」

「Gorgeous property Amazing food Staff was super helpful and friendly Room was huge and beautiful Great setting in the jungle with a balcony over looking the river」
