「This was an amazing experience and the highlight of our trip to Costa Rica. Giselle and the team at esquipulas took wonderful care of us. We got some amazing birding pictures, saw the feeding of the king vulture and loved every moment of our tipi experience. And the food was amazing! We can’t wait to go back」

「From the picture, the property is actually smaller, there is no bbq grill so cooking becomes a problem if you want to cook meet. The running water was turned on hours after we arrived, and no Hot water at all. Makes taking a shower on rainy days a drag. Not enough pillows or the proper kitchen utensils. And trash was not picked enough, because I was told to put it under the house when full, so wild stray dogs would tear into the bags and drag trash all over yard. They need to get lidded trash...

「The house was unexpectedly nice. We thoroughly enjoyed the cool (unheated) but not cold, jacuzzi pool after a long hot day in Manuel Antonio park. This is a nice place, but they really, really, need to let folks know that this place is very remote and the road is very bad. Great if you want to bring everything and just stay there, but it is a 45 minute drive on bad, unlit roads to come or go from the lodge. We could see several places where the hillside had given way into the road and one...

Además la atención de Doug es excepcional siempre está pendiente que tu estadía fluya con perfección y que no te falte nada. Esta propiedad es súper recomendada. Les voy a dar un tip nosotros fuimos también a visitar Copey Vinícola Tour y la propiedad está a 30 minutos de este increíble paraíso en donde nos quedamos a dormir. 」

「We arrived late and got a warm welcome from the night staff. Our room, was downstairs, at the end of the building, huge, and spotlessly clean. The bathroom was a good size and split up from the bedroom by a handy dressing area. We had a balcony, our view was small, with some garden, the jungle and next to the path down to the beach (quite steep, takes 5- 10 minutes to walk down to beach , 10 minutes+ to get back). I was initially disappointed by the view, but grew to love it. We saw squirrel...

「We loved the view from this place. Balcony for our room, plus plenty of outdoor seating areas to enjoy the sunset. They also have a pair of nesting toucans, so we enjoyed seeing them every morning and evening. They have a walking trail with hanging bridges that is pretty nice and a free morning tour (book early). The bus stop was a short walk away, so we didn't drive anywhere when we were at Manuel Antonio. There is also a good soda and small convenience store at the bottom of the hill.」

「Lovely location with incredible reviews. Seeing the released red macaws on site was a treat. Tours booked via the hotel were excellent and we appreciated the recourse when one of our tours did not work out. Really loved the upper sunset deck. Restaurant was decent. Pool lovers may be disappointed with the pool.」

「Older hotel with a nice setting in a prime location. Facilities were a little dated but some might consider this part of the "charm". Staff was friendly and helpful. We stayed in a Family Room which was well sized for our family of 4. A couple things would make it more functional: (a) Mini-fridge -- there's no way to keep any of your own drinks/food cold, (b) Shelving/storage -- besides the floor there are few places for 4 people to put their things.」

「Property was very nice although the walking up and down the hills within the property was difficult and felt dangerous especially on the rolling surface installed. Service was great although there was a tendency to gouge for trivial services (ie salt and lime on a beer glass was an upcharge, Evian bottles of water $9 each). Bartending, waiters and golf cart drivers were definitely the saving grace. Our room A/C system was marginal. 」
