O hotel é muito bem cuidado, a equipe de funcionários super bem treinada e prestativa. Piscina, banheiros, toalhas, tudo perfeito. Ficamos na suíte WOW e durante a noite achamos um pouco mal iluminada, mas durante o dia a iluminação natural é espetacular.

This hotel is an absolute dream! The rooms are beautifully appointed, comfortable and private. The pools are gorgeous, especially the saltwater infinity pool where you can relax and watch the most magnificent sunsets over the Pacific Ocean. Food is excellent, and drink selections at all the bars are fantastic, made with natural fruit and premium spirits. Don’t forget to check out the small private beach, where you’ll find white-faced capuchin monkeys swinging from the trees. A stay at Makanda will make Manuel Antonio even more magical!

Fantastic service with Candy at check in and throughout. Leo was absolutely instrumental in guiding our overall experience, gave fantastic food recommendations, was incredibly prompt at attending to every single need. The staff is overall 10/10. We stayed at the honeymoon grand villa and the accommodations were 10/10 in all respects.

Property was very nice although the walking up and down the hills within the property was difficult and felt dangerous especially on the rolling surface installed. Service was great although there was a tendency to gouge for trivial services (ie salt and lime on a beer glass was an upcharge, Evian bottles of water $9 each). Bartending, waiters and golf cart drivers were definitely the saving grace. Our room A/C system was marginal.

Absolutely stunning!! The staff was amazing, amenities, food and location were perfect. They booked excursions for us with local tour companies …again, the best. They were there for any request. The grounds are well maintained and the pools were superb. We will be back!! ❤️

My stay at Makanda in Costa Rica was nothing short of exceptional. The property itself is stunning, with breathtaking views and an atmosphere that feels both luxurious and deeply connected to its natural surroundings. Every detail of the resort reflects thoughtful design and a commitment to creating a truly elevated experience. What sets Makanda apart, however, is the level of service. The staff was beyond helpful and genuinely attentive, rivaling what you would expect at some of the finest hotels in the world. Candy and Alfredo went above and beyond in assisting with our private plane arrangements and ensured that every aspect of our stay was seamless and perfectly coordinated within the resort. Alexander, who took care of us in the pool area, made an already incredible experience unforgettable. His attentiveness and care were unmatched, and he truly spoiled us while we enjoyed some of the most magical sunsets I have ever seen. I rarely take the time to write reviews, as I generally expect excellence from the places I choose to stay. However, Makanda exceeded those expectations in every way, and it absolutely deserves recognition. This is a destination I would return to without hesitation.

We liked the proximity to the National Park. Food and drinks are overpriced at this property. For the level of hotel should at least offer water in the rooms. Other than that its a nice Hotel, I would recommend it for people coming to Manuel Antonio Park.

This place is really nice, it’s not big by any means, but nice. They have a salt water pool with a bar, and another regular pool. They have one restaurant (you can order food to the pool) and the food is amazing. The beach was rough and had a lot of rocks, but they have nice beaches that aren’t far. The employees are mostly nice, a few of them need to be fired, but most are good. The place is on a mountain, so you walk on inclined around the hotel. The spa was terrible, it’s over priced and you will not relax, we left more tense than we went in. You will see monkeys and nice birds on the property, so if you are a fan of wild life you will be happy.
