「Bosque del Cabo is a destination in itself. Overlooking the Pacific and Gulf on the Osa Peninsula it is beautifully maintained, wildlife are all around, trails are rugged and moderate, and the staff could not be more personal and helpful. Meals are delicious We had menu choices for breakfast and lunch; dinner was a communal buffet with many options. There are cookies out and cocktail appetizers. Our cabin was perfect-a thatched spacious casita with a large bathroom and lovely outdoor garden...

「The view from absolutely everywhere is stunning. We had the chance to see a plethora of birds and monkeys from our little pool in our balcony. The drive there is a little challenging but the location makes it all worth it. Taking a shower indoor/outdoor is one of a lifetime experience. 」

「Eine sehr schöne Lodge inmitten der Natur. Nur mit dem Boot erreichbar. Hatten hier als einzige der Unterkünfte in CR das Gefühl, dass Ausflüge sehr gepuscht werden und recht hochpreisig sind. Viele Delfine im Golfo Dulce… hatten diese mit dem Feldstecher vom Steg aus beobachtet. Rückblickend hätten wir anstelle der Rivertour die Delfintour gebucht - wollten aber zum Schluss unsere Reise nur noch geniessen und dies konnten wir hier bestens.」

「What an incredible experience it was to stay here!!! Definitely high-end accommodations for a treehouse. Michael was a pleasure to work with, was very accommodating when our flight was delayed and we got there late. We loved being in the trees and so close to so much wild life. I definitely would recommend for someone who loves nature and the outdoors. We all had an overwhelming feeling of sadness the day we had to leave.」

「Very difficult to get to - hour and a half of bumpy roads to Carate, then a 3.5k hike. The logistics were not well communicated, but worked out fine. Hot (mid-April visit). The grounds are pretty special with spider monkeys frolicking in the trees right above the tents and ocean waves supplying 24-7 white noise. The guided hike into the National Park was underwhelming - the wildlife was superb, but you only skirt the periphery of the park and don't get to really explore the old growth. 」

「Playa Cativo Lodge is a wonderful place and the accommodations, food and staff were absolutely perfect. It was nice to be so close to the gulf which was calm, warm, sandy and perfect for swimming. My only complaint was that the entire front area of the lodge has been landscaped with grass and ornamental plants, many of which are not native. Because of this large open area few birds or animals come near the lodge. Bird watching was disappointing compared to lodges that have left the rainforest...

「We met Katia the owner and she was a super lovely person! Caelyn was also another precious soul so they really made our stay super welcoming. The place itself is super cute! The room was clean the beds were comfy and the outdoor patio area/pool is super chill vibes. There were also so many birds we got to see right at the hotel! We will definitely stay here again next time we're in Puerto Jimenez! Thanks Katia!」

「The staff are the most friendly people, and you can see all sorts of incredible wild life right from the restaurant and patio. We saw hawks, pelicans, turtles, a crocodile! We missed dolphins one morning apparently but yeah, it was absolute paradise and the staff were the best part. 」

「This house had such amazing wildlife viewing we hardly ever left. that combined with the lovely pool, scenic walks and open air showers. We saw squirrel monkeys, toucans, macaws, capuchins all from our balcony and walks around the house we found kinkajou and tyra along with a host of other species. Thanks for having us- 100 percent recommend!」
