"We were a party of 5 young at heart seniors who enjoyed every minute. The accommodation was of a high standard and a lot of thought went into the detail to make our stay 5*. The beds were very comfortable and the ensuites immaculate. The weather at the time was hot and we made use of the lovely pool and aircon. The location was perfect, isolated and quiet, yet only 6km from a delightful village Monpazier. I hope we have the pleasure of returning again. Thank you Sonja & Mark"

"Beautiful traditional French townhouse perfectly located for the centre of the Monpazier. Facilities were excellent.Plenty of space to sit and relax including a nice outside courtyard area.Mattress to the rear bedroom was a little uncomfortable and could probably do with being replaced. This is intended as feedback for the owner and should not put people off as this is a superb property in a great location."

"We stayed for a week and hired both gites for our family. It was utterly perfect in every way - we wanted for nothing. We most enjoyed the privacy of the main pool which overlooks luscious countryside bustling with life and the stunning western sunsets in the cool sky. Sonia and Mark are consumate well experienced hosts who always try to accommodate any requests where possible. "Lovely Gite, that is very well equipped with the owners having thought of even the smallest details of what you might require on holiday. Top notch mod-cons from washer to dryer, and a plethora of coffee making options. Comfortable bedrooms and clean bathrooms, and despite a 40 degree heatwave, the Gite was cool, and the overhead fans in the bedrooms were silent and made sleeping very comfortable. The highlight was the swimming pool, which was clean, warm and has a lovely terrace for dinning...

"The property is a charming historic hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The pool was lovely as well, though it was a bit chilly to use it. We enjoyed sitting beside it. Our room was well appointed though cosy. People who enjoy a spacious room would want to specify that when booking. The restaurant is excellent. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner."

"This was our second stay at this special property, and we had a wonderful time. The host and property manager are kind and helpful. The property is peaceful and well located to explore the area - it is also incredibly relaxing to just stay by the pool and river. We plan on a third visit!"

"Perfect home for 2 weeks in a fabulous location for exploring chateaus and caves.We had everything we needed with the bonus of the pool which was very much needed in the heat and the boys loved it. Walking into Monpazier daily to visit the Boulangerie was a happy routine. "

"Lovely stay and sad to leave after a week. Well equipped (especially with kitchenware) and good facilities. Good water pressure for the showers and lots of fans for the hotter days. House felt spacious for our 2 families. Loved eating outside and utilising the games room, BBQ and of course the swimming pool! Everything was clean, tidy and well maintained. Really enjoyed the short walk downhill to the village restaurant. Beautiful surroundings and well connected for exploring Bergerac and the surrounding areas. Highly recommend a stay here! "

"We loved our stay at this property. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming. They provided us with a delicious dinner on out first night and waking up to breakfast each morning was such a treat. Everything is home made and fresh! I also had a lovely massage which I would highly recommend. The pool area is relaxing and picturesque, while our gite had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We hope we can come backa again soon, "

"We had a really lovely stay at this property, very tranquil and very close to the beautiful bastide of Monpazier. The pool is very welcoming in the summer heat and the sunbeds provided are comfortable.The bedrooms could do with a bit more storage, maybe a couple of chests of drawers along with some mirrors.The hosts are onsite and friendly.There are a few more bastides locally including Villeréal and Belvès - the latter has a fab night market on a Wednesday, just remember to bring your own plates and cutlery! "
