    The Space:

    Magnolia House 212 is located inside the Destin Pointe gated community, off the beaten path, on Holiday Isle. This hidden gem, although in a quiet community, is only minutes away to shopping, beach activities, restaurants, a water park, and so much more! This wonderful unit is located on the 2nd floor and provides unobstructed views of the Destin Pass from a spacious private balcony. Unit 212 is an end unit and provides all the comforts of home. An open floor plan providing a living area with sofa sleeper, dining area, and complete with a well-equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar. A TV, free Wi-Fi, and a private, furnished balcony with fantastic views are extras necessities for a terrific vacation! The main bedroom features a king-size bed, light-and-airy airy bedding, wall-mounted TV, and a private bath with granite counter and tile surround tub. The second bedroom offers two full-size beds and wall-mounted TV makes for a perfect place for the kids to hang out. The second hall bath also has tile surround and granite counter.



    THINGS TO KNOW:

    Seasonal beach service (one umbrella and two chairs) is included. This service begins March 15 and ends October 31.

Immediately upon entering we were hit with a very musty smell. We later noticed wash cloths covering a couple of the air returns indicating a possible cause. The overall state of the condo is what I would call dingy and in need of repair. The couch and chair in the living room were filthy. We covered them with sheets just to sit on them. The outdoor chair cushions were also filthy. The leather on the bar stools was wearing off and the blinds in the primary bedroom were coming off the wall. We had several lamps with bulbs that didn’t work and remotes with batteries that needed replaced. One bed in the small bedroom sunk into the middle so we couldn’t use it. Overall the description was quite misleading. A well equipped kitchen is a huge stretch. We had 3 forks. When we turned on the oven it smelled so bad we couldn’t use it. The two skillets were so warped they couldn’t be used. The glass coffee pot was cracked and couldn’t be used. We should have just booked a hotel because we certainly didn’t get to use the condo in its full way. If there was just a couple of things it might not have been such an issue but it was just one thing after another. And the last thing you want to do on vacation is contact maintenance constantly. Neighborhood and other amenities were great. Condo was just really disappointing. Wouldn’t stay there again.
