The home is older but it was very clean and well-stocked with basically everything you could want. The décor of the house is a bit dated but it was very comfortable. A few minor things – the master bath only has 1 towel rack, limited closet space in the master suite (one closet with rod was full of stuff), the dishwasher is not secured to the counter. The house is arranged with a master suite w/queen bed at one end and 2 rooms w/2 double beds each at the other end. In between are the dining area, kitchen, laundry, and family room. The large deck has 2 tables and includes a gas grill. The igniter on the grill didn’t work. Our group included twin 4-year-olds and 4 adults and we all enjoyed the large yard, deck, sand beach, and dock. Long Lake itself was nice, about 2 miles long and ¼-½ mile wide. There was a lot of boat traffic during the weekend but it was much quieter during the week. Camp Michawana is across the lake and at times during the day there was a fair amount of noise coming from there. The house also has a pontoon boat you can rent (we did for part of the week) but I’m not sure it was worth it. Cruising the lake takes about 20 minutes and you can only do that so many times. The owner provided us with a video on starting the boat after we had an issue with that; it would be nice to have this video ahead of time. A binder with local info on grocery stores, firewood, fishing licenses, local attractions, restaurants, etc would have been useful. Would rent again.
