Uninhabitable
While the property was as listed, it quickly became apparent that it was uninhabitable. The lack of any running water for toilets, bathing or cooking made our stay impossible. We were forced to find public toilets and restaurants as we could not prep a meal. While we reached out to the owner asap the response was slow in coming. We were forced to pack up and relocate to a local hotel at a significant additional cost to us. When the property manager finally responded we simply requested a full credit back for the failed rental, which they refused. Days later a partial refund was offered despite the property being uninhabitable from the moment we arrived. Later we learned that a water main had ruptured. Either way we could not stay at the property and the owner refused to stand behind their responsibility of a habitable residence for our family and providing us the requested full refund. They chose putting their profit over providing our family with a safe clean and enjoyable vacation as posted in their listing. A very sad experience.
