Great location and price

Outer circle of Connaught place and close to Janpath this budget hotel is great for getting around Delhi. Close to Rajiv Chowk the metro is at your fingertips as are autorickshaws and taxis. Rooms are clean, very 1970s decor but comfortable. Breakfast was OK, totally adequate for the price we paid to stay there. Totally cool place for people who want clean, comfortable, cheap. The lovely young man on reception was very helpful. Location is king here, coupled with convenience. Perfect if coming from airport metro station or New Delhi railway station. Prepaid taxi from NDLS is 100rp, boom.

メトロ、シバジ　スタジアムに近いホテル

知人に勧められたホテルです。空港からタクシーに乗ると色々ストレスがありメトロを利用したいと考えていました。初日、空港からメトロに乗りシバジ　スタジアムで降り、オートリキシャに声をかけられ乗ったところぐるぐるつれ回されホテルはやっていないなどと言われたのでリキシャをおり、聞きながら歩いて行きました。方向音痴の私でもわかりやすいところでとなりにマクドナルドがありました。 立地は素晴らしいと思いました。ルームサービスでコーンスープとロシアンサラダを頼みましたがまあまあでした。スタッフはとても親切で聞いたことに対して丁寧に対応をして頂きました。

ロケーションと価格でこのホテルを選びました。街の繁華街の中にあり周りには何でもあり困らず、地下鉄駅も近く移動には非常に便利でした。ただホテルは少し古臭く、部屋、バスルームはお世辞にもきれいとは言えません。若干のトラブルはありましたがスタッフの対応がとても良く、この価格であれば許容範囲かなと思います。古びたホテルが許容できる人であれば満足ができるのでは。この価格であれば次回も利用できるかなと思います。

Ideal for overnight stay

I looked for a hotel which could provide overnight sleep for Agra taxi tour starting at 6AM. With classic elevator, room is small but decorated with mirrors around the room which would be great for lovers. Bathroom, especially bathtub and shower, is very old and outdated. I requested a hair dryer but it's first come first serve with only one hair dryer. There is McDonald right next to the Hotel and its very close to subway stations. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for only the short period of time. Service from travel agent next to reception is super.

I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel, as the reviews I'd read before booking were mediocre and my expectations were not very high, but I went ahead as the hotel was in the right location and price bracket for me. Initially, the reception staff couldn't find my booking, but once they located it, all was well.

Very Dirty Rooms!

I spent 5 nights at this hotel. I well located close to many shops and restaurants. But the hotel and rooms seems never been cleaned in the last couple of years. I totally do not recommend this hotel.

Darn good location

Darn good location, hallways have that unique India scent, bed and bath were clean, no mosquito problem. We slept, saw Delhi, slept again, checked out, all at the agreed price :) Don't be shocked by the "war zone" appearance of the Circle (Circus), that's India.

Good location. I arrived early but was still able to access room. Great linen, pilows. No windows, odour, dark throughout including breakfast area. One breakfast was enough. Worse hotel stay in 3 weeks although most expensive by double.

Hotel Alka, clean and comforable for Delhi touring

The hotel was clean and comfortable for a February 3-day stay. It was convenient to governmental, historical and cultural attactions - our main interests - with short taxi or rickshaw trips. Is 40 minutes from Indira Ghandi Int'l Airport. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Restaurant on site and room service were good. Breakfast buffet food was good, although a little limited in variety. An ideal hotel choice for people constantly on the go touring Delhi. Not luxurious but comfortable and economical. (We are retired and in mid-sixties.)

Vier Sterne sind übertrieben, Sauberkeit ok, aber im Zimmer fühlt man sich nicht wohl

Das Hotel liegt am Rand des Connaught Place, es ist aber nicht ganz einfach zu finden. Das Hotelpersonal war freundlich und höflich. Meine größte Entschäuschung war ein fehlendes Fenster im Zimmer, dadurch fühlt man sich eher wie in einer Kammer. Im Zentrum des Raumes stand das Doppelbett, und damit war der Raum auch schon voll, alles wahnsinnig eng. Die Entlüftung aller Hotelräume funktioniert über eine Lüftungsanlage des Hotels, die sich nicht individuell abschalten lässt. Dadurch brummt 24 Stunden lang der Motor und wälzt die Luft hinter der Verschalung mit Lüftungsschlitzen ständig um. Empfindliche Personen finden hier kaum Schlaf, und der etwaige Vorteil des fehlenden Straßenlärms am Fenster ist damit auch schon wieder geschluckt. Die Versiegelung einer der beiden bereitstehenden Wasserflaschen war gebrochen, ein Unding! Nach meinem Protest wurde sie sofort getauscht. Das Bad mit Dusche und WC war in Ordnung, die Armaturen leider etwas verkalkt, aber heißes Wasser war stets vorhanden. Ein sehr großer Spiegel, hochwertige Kacheln und Waschbecken in einer Marmorplatte eingefasst. Bettwäsche und Handtücher waren sauber, aber leider voller (Rost-) Flecken. Eine Toilettenbürste fehlte, so etwas mag ich gar nicht. Im Zimmer und Bad habe ich trotz intensiver Suche gar keine Spuren von Ungeziefer gefunden. Internetzugang nur mit W-LAN in der Lobby. Ohne eigenes Notebook kein Internet, W-LAN in der Lobby läuft ausgezeichnet und schnell. Im TV etwa 98 indische Kanäle plus CNN.

segnalato come un 4 stelle non ne dovrebbe avere più di 2. nell'ingresso dell'hotel è perenne un odore di fogna che, per fortuna, non arriva alle stanze che sono cupe e molte senza finestre con aria condizionata non regolabile e per avere acqua calda nel bagno bisogna attendere anche 5 o 10 minuti. non sono 'schifettosa' ma altrove qualche disagio è compensato da accoglienza gentile e un'aria meno anonima da 'albergo ad ore'

Os quartos do hotel foram subdivididos e simplesmente nao tem janelas, a localizacao nao é boa (junto ao antigo comercio, já decaído), o hotel nao foi renovado desde sua abertura (1968), enfim, fuja deste hotel...
