Your Last Chance To See the Fall Colors
Important Notice – Tree Removal October 12–16, 2026
We want to let our guests know that we have some necessary tree removal work planned at Creekside this week. Due to recent weather conditions, the work has been delayed and will take place as weather permits. There may be some daytime noise from a chainsaw, and tree removal activities.
At Happy Camper, your cozy creekside retreat in Del Rio, Tennessee, invites you to slow down, settle in, and enjoy mountain life with a few more comforts around you.
Tucked beside the flowing creek and within easy driving distance of Hot Springs, the Appalachian Trail, whitewater rafting, hiking, fishing, and the Great Smoky Mountains, Happy Camper gives you the feeling of camping without having to bring your own camper, bed, kitchen, or living room.
With Wi-Fi, a large-screen TV, a furnished living area, kitchen, queen bed, private shower and sink, electric fireplace, and your own outdoor fire-pit area, you can spend the day exploring and still come back to a comfortable place to relax.
Private, but Not Isolated
Happy Camper and its outdoor area are reserved for your use, giving you your own comfortable little home base beside the creek.
We are located in a small rural campground, so you may see or hear other guests from time to time. You may also hear the sounds that come with country living — chickens or roosters, passing vehicles, tractors, frogs, crickets, birds and the creek itself.
By day, you may spot deer near the water or a Great Blue Heron moving quietly along the creek. In season, butterflies drift through and fireflies begin to glow around dusk. At night, the creek, frogs and crickets create their own country soundtrack.

A Little Help Keeping Happy Camper Happy
We do not charge a standard cleaning fee, and we’d love to keep it that way.
We simply ask our guests to treat Happy Camper like they would a friend’s home:
• Wash and put away the dishes and cookware you use
• Bag your trash and place it in the camper shower area before leaving
• Put wet or used towels on the vanity
• Use the broom or vacuum for obvious crumbs, dirt or messes
• Leave the camper reasonably close to the condition in which you found it
Normal cleaning between guests is our responsibility. If the camper is left with excessive mess, stains, damage, missing items, or unusual additional cleaning needs, an additional charge may apply.

Come Enjoy the Creek
Spend your day hiking, rafting, fishing, exploring Hot Springs and the surrounding mountains — or skip all of that.
Make coffee. Sit beside the creek. Watch for a heron. Build a fire. Listen to the frogs after dark.
Happy Camper is meant to be exactly what its name says: a comfortable little place beside the creek where you can relax, recharge, and be happy to stay awhile.
In case you have any questions or need any assistance, feel free to text, (you will have my personal number), and I'll be more than happy to help out. IF your WIFI is not working, come up to the cream colored door on the left at the house with the large screened deck and we will be glad to sort it out.
We want you to enjoy your vacation to the fullest, so don't hesitate to reach out if you need anything. Other than that, we'll leave you to relax and have a great time!
