Didn’t bother me but be aware long flight of stairs up, train goes by often, never really heard it from bedroom but you can hear it in living room not super loud just in background. "We had a short trip to leave my grandson at Rockford University. There was a lot of rushing around, back and forth, getting things arranged, but this house provided a lovely respite for us each evening to relax and get good sleep. The owners are very responsive, the kitchen is well-stocked, and everything is well-labeled. Even as modern amenities abound, the house is a beautiful specimen of Victorian architecture. "

There were six adults in our group; We spent most of our weekend hanging out at the house and it was more than comfortable. The beds were good.
