"We just stayed in the Holiday Inn & Suites at White Marsh in MD and it was fantastic, so we decided to try this one. Complete opposite experience here, other than the staff this place was unacceptable. Roughly 50% of the light fixtures didn't work, there was a weird black sticky residue on most of the floors, the bisuits and/or eggs for breakfast had a weird fishy taste, and while we were checking out we found partially eaten crackers on the floor... we didn’t pack or buy any crackers. They gave us a free night stay on an account they set up for us, but all in all it was a bad experience. "

"The hotel poorly delivered on amenities. Upon arrival, our soap and body dispensers were empty, and did not get refilled during our stay even after requesting it. We were given small bottles of body wash after the cleaning company did not address our concern. The steamer in our room did not work, and we had to request a new one. I have stayed at The Doyle before, and it was a decent experience, yet for the price point, there needs to be more staff or direct service to address in the moment concerns. "

"The halls smelled either like pee (first floor) or musky cigarettes(second floor). The room wasn’t very clean, dirt on the window sill, stains on the curtains. Everything seemed to be falling apart like the faucet handle coming off and the drain in the shower. They do not clean your room like you would typically expect. We left the room (without the DND sign) one morning (roughly 8am), returned around 4pm and it wasn’t cleaned so we called and asked if they could come by today and we were told yes, we left and returned later at 7ish and it still wasn’t clean. Called again and they said the cleaners left for the day but could bring us towels and sheets to do ourselves! Also note that their TV’s are out of date, there isn’t even a guide option, definitely no option to stream or even mirror your screen. They have like 20 channels. The AC unit in the room blows right on the bed closest to it. And it blows right on your face. So you have to pick either having it blow right on you all night or turn it off and let it get hot in the room. The back entrance is sketchy, people hangout around there so it’s pretty uncomfortable going in and out especially when it’s dark. Also people woke us up around 11 from honking obnoxiously "

"What a great place to stay! Minutes from Monticello, UVA, and multiple wineries. The apartment was beautiful and so comfortable! We loved the outdoor seating areas and fire pit! Would definitely recommend for anyone visiting the area!"
