The Capistrano Beach Cottage features a coastal modern interior with hotel-like appeal while providing a relaxed beach-life atmosphere. Within walking distance to the sandy beach, this 2 bed/1 bath half duplex features central heat and air conditioning, and a private, tropical zen-inspired patio. Get away from the everyday and escape to beach luxury right here!

The beach cottage has been designed to provide you with similar luxuries to a resort-style hotel. Bath and beach towels are provided for your stay. The primary bedroom features a luxurious king-size bed, ensuring a comfortable and restful night's sleep. The second bedroom offers two twin beds, perfect for accommodating additional guests or family members. The living room boasts a comfortable queen size sleeper sofa with a memory foam mattress, allowing the entire home to sleep up to 6 people. Each bedroom comes with a plush pillow-top mattress, crisp white linens, and plenty of comfortable pillows and blankets. Need to do laundry? We've got you covered with a full-size washer/dryer along with laundry detergent and dryer sheets fully stocked for your use.

Central air! The majority of the homes in this area do not have air conditioning. We've got you covered with central heat and air conditioning. No matter what the temperature is outside, we will make sure you are more than comfortable inside!

Gourmet cooking is made possible in our fully stocked kitchen! We have everything you can possibly think of for cooking up a storm—an assortment of cookware and kitchen staples.

Entertainment is made possible in our open concept living room! The beach cottage has been designed for your ultimate entertainment experience with an open concept living room/kitchen. The living room features a flat-screen TV, DVD player, an assortment of classic movies on DVD, and a Bluetooth speaker system.

The private, enclosed, zen-inspired patio is your own tropical oasis! Furnished with comfortable and stylish patio sofas, a patio dining table, a cozy hammock under a palm thatched hut, a BBQ, a lush tropical garden, and games like corn hole and full-size Jenga, you might not want to leave the house.

Looking to take a bike ride down to the beach? We've thought of it all. The beach cottage comes with four top-of-the-line beach cruisers! There is also an assortment of beach equipment available for your use—everything from surfboards, body boards, beach chairs/umbrellas, and coolers.

Location, location, location! The beach is a 0.5-mile walk. Capistrano Beach borders Dana Point's beach, and the famous surf town of San Clemente. Grab one of the beach cruisers and take a short ride down to Dana Point Harbor or San Clemente Pier.

Mom's Getaway

The cottage is a great getaway. We spent the weekend recovering from raising teenagers! It was very relaxing. The cottage is stocked with everything you may need. We enjoyed the backyard. The beds were comfortable. The location is great for walking. We walked to both the park and beach daily. We were also close to yummy restaurants and Trader Joe's. Thank you for an easy and relaxing stay.

Adorable, comfortable beach cottage

My kids and I had to best stay at this clean, well located, beach home with darling decor. We felt right at home. The kids rode scooters te scenic 1/2 mile to the beach. Very clean, plenty of room and patio to relax. Loved it!

Dana Point getaway

Overall a great stay! Clean house. There are alot of rules staying here but makes sense if yiud like to stay in a clean house. Being came on a weekend it was tough trying to not be too loud as we enjoyed family games (fun and laughter). Also please not, this is a 2 bedroom and not 3. The sofa bed is in the livingroom. Cutte little place, made use of the grill and hammock in the back. Again overall nice stay! Thank you!

Very comfortable and well stocked, we really did not cook but the kitchen has utensils, pans, etc. There is an outdoor patio which we enjoyed while drinking our morning coffee. Our host was kind enough to leave a necessary and complimentary first dose of coffee.Having a washer/dryer in the unit was very convenient for us as we did need to wash my daughter's competition uniform.

My husband wasn’t able to make the trip, so it was a little concerned about traveling without him. There was no need to be concerned. Very helpful and responsive.

Stay in Capistrano Beach Cottage 2

Great reservation process with excellent summary of critical info. Place was spotless and warm. My only issue was the narrow bathroom doorway. In my power wheelchair I could not get into the bathroom. I informed the property manager (Jason) who instantly took care of us by getting us moved to the larger unit, which we will review separately. I suggested to Jason that the property listing be changed to say “manual wheelchair accessible” instead of “wheelchair accessible”; or just disclose the internal door widths so wheelchair users can plan ahead. All in all, this is a terrific property.

Great spot overall

We really enjoyed the cottage- it was very clean and is well laid out and nicely remodeled (very cute and homey). The kitchen is open and airy so perfect for a small group. The unit is the rear rental of a 2-unit building in a very nice, quiet neighborhood. The only thing that I didn't like was that the air conditioning won't go below 72 - I didn't sleep very well since I like it cooler. I understand not wanting people to crank it down and leave, but would recommend putting in a smart thermometer that adjusts up during the day or something along those lines. So personally I wouldn't stay again during summer/fall but for those who don't mind warmer temps at night it wouldn't be an issue. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here during the cooler months though, it is a great little place overall!

Reviewer Comments: The host came on the property 4 separate times during our 4 night stay. Of those 4 times, they only notified us once they would be there. In addition, the host decided to renovate the backyard with a full landscape crew during our stay. We were woken up at 7 am on our final day by the landscape crew right outside the patio door of our bedroom. A blatant violation of our privacy. To add injury to insult, the host also was asking us to checkout while the landscape crew blocked our car in the driveway. Stay away.

A day at the beach

Great little beach cottage

We stayed with our family of 5 (2 adults and 3 kids). Everything was great. The outdoor area was especially wonderful with the kiddos. The space is thoughtfully set up and met all our needs! Thank you so much!

Nice Place for Four

The neighborhood is safe and quiet and good for taking walks. To get to the beach, you do need to drive, however. The kitchen is very nice and the beds in the bedrooms are very comfortable. The fold-out sofa bed is impossible, so only four people can stay here comfortably.
