"Fantastic hotel. Beautiful from the outside and in. Hot tub and sauna are such a great bonus. Breakfast was so filling and delicious. We stopped here as we were driving around the ring road and this was just what we needed in the middle of journey."

"Hotel Halond was a great home base for our trip to Iceland! The rooms were new, clean, & spacious. The shared kitchen space was also helpful! The fridge in the room was large and able to hold a large amount of food for the week! We enjoyed the location as it was very close to everything in Akureyri. Also a great central location for traveling Northern Iceland! The hotel staff were very responsive when emailing them for fresh towels etc! Would definitely return!"

"This hotel is fantastic! The rooms are very beautifully appointed - very modern and thoughtful in what is important for couples traveling. The breakfast is impressive. The location is walking distance to everything center city. The staff from reception to dining room to housekeeping - the best! For future travelers I would recommend new photos be added as the current photos really do not reflect this wonderful property!"
