"The setting is idyllic in lovely peaceful surroundings, nature all around. The cottage is large, airy and bright and everything you could need was provided. Although quite a distance from Oban, the main road was pretty quiet and a pleasant drive. The pool was an added bonus, but the sauna wasn't working. We were there on the hottest weekend of the year, so didn't need the sauna."

"We had a lovely few days in Walled Garden Mews 10 in Melfort Holiday Village. It was well thought-out and so comfortably slept four adults and two children on the sofa bed on the mezzanine. There was plenty of storage and the kitchen was one of the best equipped I've come across in a holiday let. The facilities were great; the children were able to run free and enjoy the games rooms and the swings that were just next door/outside and we all loved going to the pool, which was beautifully warm....

"In a week of rain we managed to find many dry days. The location of the village was outstanding with views of the loch and an abundance of birdlife ( I counted 40 species in the area in the week). Melfort has great access to the isles through Oban and the coastline along the A 816 offers opportunities for gardens (Arduaine) and loch views from Ardfern. "Our stay at the hotel was very nice, room was comfortable and the staff extremely pleasant. we did make a comment re our evening meal but hear no more about it (lasagne was dry) i have attempted to make contact with the hotel by phone since our stay on the 14th February but no one seems to pick up phone calls. my query is regarding the addition of VAT added to our bill food and drinks. i did not see any evidence of VAT included or to be added to our bill. my hotel receipt shows at the foot of the bill that "this is not a VAT invoice but your VAT number is included in your footer. is this an error on your part or have i missed this. Reference 2380113436"
