"It is an older Buddhist temple and feels wonderful to be in a place with such character and history. The meals (all are vegetarian in accordance with Buddhist tradition) are a delicious delight. This is from one who is not a vegetarian! The service is personal and sincerely caring. I would recommend visiting Daisen and staying there. "

"The special prepared vegan meal was the hilight but I wasn’t able to sleep as the mats were too thin for my bad back and hips. We had to check out after one night. I had wanted to check out the temple more as it was so historic and beautiful but the rains came and we had a long day of travel ahead."
