This was my favourite location in Vietnam. The hotel is simple but modern and spacious in a series of beach chalets. The pools were all in the shade of the buildings, calm and peaceful. The beach area and bar was simple and felt more like my younger travelling g days, with loungers and hammocks between the pine trees. It’s a simple area, lively with a back packer presence, but this hotel is at the upper end of the accommodation. I loved that it allows you to walk out to local shops and bars but a private beach the other side. Short taxi ride to the wonders of Hoi An.

Nice room, the beach not great

The room was really nice, the breakfast good and the pools nice. Some of the areas outside could use some paint and cleaning. The beach in Hoi An is not nice. Go for the pool.

Comfortable 75m to sea water

We had a very nice stay with some strong arguments to return: 1. Proximity to the sea (ca. 75m), private beach beds and hotel beach bar 2. Spacious room and comfortable bed (one concern is to have neighbours balcony-to-balcony, but this depends on... neighbours) 3. Tasty breakfast buffet with multiple choices. Everyone was very friendly bad helpful (night scooter parking behind the gates was possible). With our drinks and coffees delivered to the beach beds we felt like in a closed resort :)

The surrounding area was shocking. The staff were indifferent, except for the ladies serving in the restaurant. Terrible beach bar, no fridge just an esky. Definitely not value for money. Sorry have to be honest.

Laid back resort on the beach

This small resort is right on the beach, but conveniently also has 3 swimming pools. It’s not a big glitzy resort, it’s small, casual and laid back and built along a quiet street. The hotel is made up of about 5 separate buildings along the street. Somewhat weirdly (and apparently due to losses during COVID) they sold two pieces of land between the reception and restaurant buildings and the accommodation buildings (which are like 3 storey houses). One site has already been developed into a separate Homestay business, and the other one is being built. So, the layout is a bit unusual - as along the road you have 2 hotel buildings, then 2 separate businesses) and then the accommodation buildings. However, the resort’s main area and beach bar all remain connected under lovely shady trees. There are very helpful staff to help you with your luggage which is important if you are on the top floor (level 3) as there are no lifts. The best rooms have balconies overlooking the beach area. The cheaper rooms are on the level 3 with no views, or balcony. But you have an enclosed private open roof area (but there are no curtains for these windows - which is annoying in the summer time as the sun comes up early bring eye shades). Comfortable beds. Friendly and engaging staff. Good range of foods at breakfast. Lunch menu is minimal but ok (mainly western food). The hotel has beach chairs right on the beach, or in the shaded area above the beach which is where the beach bar is located.

星5のホテルとほぼ同額にも関わらず、部屋や施設のクオリティが低くて残念でした。 また、シービューの部屋にしましたが林に遮られてほぼ海は見えませんでした。 スタッフの対応とプールは広くて良かったです。

Nöjd ändå det blåste för mycket.

Städningen var jättebra , men det var någon konstig lukt på rummet, vi trodde det var något myggmedel . Men sen tror vi att det kan vara mögel , men vi är inte säkra , men det satte sig i endel kläder . Men personalen var fantastisk.

Great boutique style hotel with private beach

Stayed for 4 nights at this great boutique style hotel with several smaller buildings running along the whole block. My room was big and comfortable, the private beach had a nice bar and lots of sun beds, and is also close to other restaurants and the beach club (that is squeezed in between the hotel buildings). Several pools in the hotel area and also a Spa that I never got around to visit. Staff was very friendly and service minded. Early check-in and taxi service to Hoi An was arranged without problems. The airport transfer service was a pleasant surprise and with good prices. The a la carte breakfast was above expectation. It never felt crowded, even though that can also depend on actual fewer guests due to COVID-19 outbreak. Only small downside is that my room was next to the staff shed and diesel generator, so I woke up every morning when staff rolled out the cleaning wagons and one morning when the generator was started - but by all means I prefer that instead of a power outage. I will definitely consider coming back to Sol An Bang Beach Resort & Spa.
