  • My dad's friend owns a really cool karting circuit in Pageas, a few kilometres from Chalus where I grew up in France. They are both hunters. I know this is not everyone's cup of tea, but a lot of people from that generation in rural France do like hunting, fishing, fetching mushrooms. There are woodlands all around the karting circuit. My dad and his friend have built some platforms in the trees, and from mid-October to mid-November they go there every morning to shoot migrating birds. Those ones are some sort of wood pigeons going from Eastern Europe / Russia to North Africa. I did my own shooting that morning... with my camera! The sunrise was spectacular with some nice pink colours and mist in the valley.

We had a very nice time at Anne Marie's place. She was really welcoming and helpful. Checking in and out was very quick and straightforward. She gave us great information about what to see and do on the area too. The location is very good, in a quiet place, but close to supermarkets and a few lakes with bars and restaurants. The accomodation was very clean and good. Breakfast was lovely and had a good array of foods: the traditional items expected for a continental breakfast - cereal, butter, jams, pain au Chocolat, fruits, etc- but also a plate with cold meat/charcuterie and cheese. Overall, really nice. We had a lovely time in the garden using the swimming pool and the jacuzzi. Overall, a very nice stay and very good value for the money we paid. Thank you Anne Marie. We will certainly stay at yours again next time we drive down to Spain.

C est un endroit bien calme sauf la route qui passe juste a côté. Pour se garer moyen petite route étroite et dommage que l Hôte ne parle pas français sa met une barrière mais elle été vraiment très gentil accueillante serviable on s adapte lol je recommande l endroit été reposant agréable merci a elle .
