Condovac La Costa – Budget Experience The location is convenient to Coco Beach, but Uber is still around $20 USD each way, so transportation adds up quickly. This is definitely a budget-oriented resort. Food was very basic and repetitive, often with items unavailable, and there was no access to food between meal times. Bar and drink options were also very limited. Don’t expect a typical all-inclusive experience. The resort is built on a VERY steep hill, making you reliant on the shuttle. It runs fairly regularly but always seemed unavailable when we needed it for something time-sensitive. Unfortunately, something was stolen from our room, so keep your belongings secured and don’t leave valuables out. Housekeeping also left our air conditioning off and curtains open. Be cautious booking tours through Jr, aka “Mr. Solutions,” on the beach. Communication was difficult, plans changed, and we felt completely screwed over. Get everything confirmed in writing and think twice before paying deposits upfront. The gift shop is limited, so bring essentials like contact lens solution and aloe. Wi-Fi is basically restricted to the lobby and some pool/restaurant areas. English is limited among much of the staff, which made communication difficult. Our room wasn’t ready at arrival, and when we needed help getting to a medical centre, the resort offered no meaningful assistance. They also stopped responding when we cancelled our shuttle and asked about parking.

It’s a party. If you are into that, you will love it. The drinks are watered down, I’m guessing because they don’t want things to get out of control when you are day drinking. Premium bar is the real deal, but no atmosphere. Views are wonderful, staff friendly, be prepared for the bottle of wine upsell at dinner. You can ask for house wine, they don’t tell you that. Property is in need of a refresh. There is cracked tile, places that need paint, and not everything in your room will work properly. Bathroom sink area is not well thought out, I’m short and I could barely reach over the sink to brush my teeth because the towel bar is in the way. The Spa is a highlight. It’s expensive but the staff & service is worth it.
