"The rooms were clean, breakfast was great, the staff was friendly and helpful, but the pool was the best! We loved that it was heated and very nicely I might add!!"

"The host is an awesome communicator and responded within an hour for most messages. Coldest weekend of the year ( -35) so we were no able to use the hot tub due to safety reasons, totally understandable. Furnace quit working one night and Andy was immediately on the phone with an HVAC place, it was fixed within a few hours. The fireplace was a life saver. Absolutely beautiful home with everything you need. Master bed was very comfortable and all other rooms also comforted. Upstairs game table was a lot of fun also. A lot of room and everything we needed to cook. I would definitely stay here again. Very close to town and highly recommend the Frontier for excellent food! 5 star stay in my book! "
"Our stay at this northern cabin was outstanding from start to finish. The cabin itself was spotless — truly one of the cleanest vacation rentals we’ve ever experienced. Every detail felt intentional, cozy, and welcoming, with unique touches that made the space feel both rustic and special.Communication with the host was exceptional. They were fast, responsive, and incredibly easy to work with throughout the entire process. When a blizzard rolled in and created a weather emergency, they were understanding, flexible, and genuinely caring about our safety and comfort. That level of hospitality is rare and so appreciated. The accommodations were fantastic, offering the perfect blend of charm, comfort, and northern character. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to unwind.Highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a peaceful, clean, and well‑hosted escape. We would absolutely stay again!"
"This is my favorite place to stay in the Rice Lake area. It is a charming lodge tucked away in a quiet spot right on the lake. Expect beautiful vistas year round. Each room is designed uniquely, several are pet friendly. Each has a view of and access to the lake. The staff/owners are friendly and accommodating. There are complementary non-motorized water activities in the summer and nightly campfires. Breakfast is fruit and a locally baked scone. There is nothing hotel-chain about this place. "
Spacious cabin right on the lake, perfect for your next family vacation!

"We have stayed at quite a few VRBOs and I book almost solely on reviews! This place was magical for my family of 4 (the kids slept in one room, my husband and I had out own rooms - which is what we prefer so we loved that!). The floor plan is really cool, with two living rooms, and the room with the bunk beds for kids is so nice! The lake was beautiful and there’s all kinds of things to do in the area. UberEats acted like they were going to deliver twice and we got canceled on both times, so don’t use them. Overall, it was so quiet and peaceful! We didn’t see any other people the entire week!!! There is a lily pad in some of the pictures advertised but there isn’t an available swimming lily pad to use (we had planned on it for swimming purposes, so just fyi). We did use the paddleboat, which was awesome! We’d stay again. The hosts were great and super responsive, which I so appreciated! I attached pics from the week at the lake!"
