Wunderbar

Wir haben unseren Urlaub und die Unterkunft sehr genossen. In ruhiger Lage konnten wir entspannen, alles war sauber und so schön und gut gepflegt. Cucuron erreicht man mit dem Auto in 5 Minuten. Sehr nette und aufmerksame Gastgeber, die auf Privatsphäre achten sowie sehr nette Begrüßung. Vielen Dank für den wunderschönen Aufenthalt. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Einfach Idylle pur!!

An extraordinary property in an exceptional location perfect for touring Provence

This property is not to be missed. If you want a beautiful, well-appointed, and peaceful location from which to explore Provence, this is definitely the place. From the iconic lavender fields below the property, to the historic structures on the property itself, combined with a lovely shaded patio and a beautiful pool to cool off at the end of a hot day, you’ll find yourself conveniently located within 60-90 min of sites and activities around Provence and the Cote de Rhône. Our hosts rescued our entire vacation by working with us through a last minute pre-departure issue that developed on our side. They were there to greet us upon our late evening arrival and, near the end of our stay, assisted us by securing a last minute dinner reservation at a wonderful restaurant in nearby Cucuron. Our hosts were always friendly, welcoming and helpful. Despite the language differences, we were all able to easily communicate via the Google translate app. The peace and quiet of morning espresso on the patio and the sunsets overlooking their poolside garden paradise are unparalleled in providing both a romantic atmosphere and the relaxation you hope for on vacation. The kitchen was well appointed. The beds were very comfortable. It was especially enjoyable to have all the screened windows open to catch refreshing breezes. Everything was clean and impeccable. Staying here was the highlight of our three-week European travel. This is definitely a place we hope to return to!

Romantisches und liebevoll saniertes Nebengebäude einer alten Mühlen

Das L'Atelier ist ein sehr liebevoll saniertes und renoviertes Nebengebäude einer alten Mühle. Die Mühle mit Nebengebäuden liegt sehr romantisch und ruhig auf einem Hügel unter Steineichen, umgeben von Weinbergen. Sie liegt ca. 1,8 km südlich von Cucuron entfernt, zu Fuß ist man in ca. 20 min. im Ort, mit dem Auto sind es kaum 5 min. Die Eigentümer Mireille und Frederic sind wahnsinnig symphatische Menschen, die auf der anderen Seite der Mühle wohnen. Sie sind sehr zurückhaltend und man bemerkt sie quasi nicht. Wenn man Hilfe benötigt sind sie aber sofort verfügbar. Der wunderschön gelegene Pool liegt in einem sonnigen provenzalischen Garten und ist ausschließlich für die Mieter des Ateliers bestimmt. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und uns sehr gut erholt.

Paradise in the Luberon

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful little house. The accommodation was perfect for us, the house was so pretty and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The pool was very welcome in the thirty degree heat and evenings eating al fresco was fantastic. We have stayed in the luberon a few times before but the location and the accommodation was the best we have ever experienced. If you are looking for the perfect Provençal experience this has it all! The hosts Mireille and Frederic were warm and welcoming but extremely discreet during our stay. We would definitely stay again

Beautiful location

Ideally placed accommodation for visiting the local villages and countryside. Cucuron has a good selection of restaurants and there is a nice atmosphere in the evening, dining by the pond. Accommodation is fine, although the amenities lists oven, when we could only find a microwave. Outside pool area lovely for those relaxing afternoons. Owners are very helpful, and living next door, available to answer any queries. Overall we were pleased with this booking, although compared to some other regions of France, which we have visited, you do appear to pay a premium for the Provence label.

Erholung pur mit savoir vivre!

Die Unterkunft bietet alles, was man sich wünschen kann: Ruhe, Privatsphäre, einen grossen Garten in herrlicher Umgebung mit mehreren Sitzplätzen, einen schönen Poolbereich und eine geschmackvoll und gemütlich eingerichtetes Haus, in dem es an nichts fehlt. Hier kann man wirklich die Seele baumeln lassen! Wer Lust auf Kultur hat, findet charmante Orte, hervorragende Restaurants und viele Weinbauern in direkter Umgebung, sowie eine grosse Auswahl an Ausflugszielen in maximal einer Stunde Fahrzeit Entfernung. Mireille und Frédéric sind Gastgeber, die uns sehr herzlich aufgenommen haben und die wir gerne wieder besuchen möchten. Wir können die Unterkunft rundherum empfehlen.

Charming & Authentic Property off the Tourist Route in the Luberon

This was our favorite accommodation in 6 weeks of travel (Scotland and France). It felt truly authentic. Lovely and charming and containing every amenity you need. It's right next to a 17th century mill and furnished in a caring and tasteful fashion. One can walk out the door past vineyards and fields and views to French villages. We didn't have bikes but would be great biking paths. Very close to three postcard-perfect villages (Cucuron, Ansouis and Lourmarin), this little house is in an ideal location in a nontouristy part of the Luberon. It's close to many excellent restaurants too. It has a private pool too which was nice after touring around the area. Mireille and Frederic were perfect hosts; they were there to help but gave us absolute privacy. We really liked them and plan on returning in 3 years or so for a longer stay. Don't hesitate to book this house and enjoy a wonderful time in the French countryside.

Paradise in France!

Our stay with Mireille and Frederique was one of the best we have ever experienced whilst staying in France. The property was very clean and comfortable, quiet, with a lovely swimming pool to relax by. Nearby Cucuron, a beautiful village with a huge water basin at its centre to enjoy and dine by in the evening, was a joy to visit. All in all, paradise in southern France.

So beautiful and peaceful

Mirielle and Frederick were so welcoming but so respectful of our privacy. The Property is so perfect for a relaxing stay in the Luberon. The pool was very clean and the perfect temperature. The villa is very well appointed with exceptional attention to detail in every way. Paradise in Provence!

Le logement: spacieux, aménagé avec goût, literie impeccable. Malgré la canicule persistante, il a été possible de garder une certaine fraîcheur à l'intérieur de l'habitation. Beaucoup d'espace disponible et ombragé autour de la location, sur la propriété. Piscine bien entretenue et hyper agréable. Propriétaires attentifs, soucieux du bien-être de leurs locataires et jamais intrusifs. Une de nos meilleures expériences!

We loved it here and will be back

You enter through a pillared gateway and along a short gravel driveway to the front of the building. Plenty of parking space under oak trees. We were greeted by the owners who spent time showing us around, explaining things in the house. The charming comfortable stone house is stylish and well thought out. The authentic features and accessories provide lots of character and a homely feel. It is well equipped with modern appliances. Good supply of towels, bedding, tableware plus wifi. The outside is equally lovely. The garden is large, a mix of flowering bushes, olive trees, oak trees and wild spring flowers around the house. The pool is heated with steps at the shallow end for the children but large enough and deep enough for adults too. We spent some of our time sitting beside it in good quality loungers enjoying the Provencal sunshine. There are a number of sitting/dining areas which meant we could eat outside or just enjoy the pretty garden and pool view with a good book. There is quite a big plot of land around the house so it is completely private and quiet and we were able to enjoy our walking from the house through spring flowers and blossom on fruit trees. Cucuron, a charming hilltop village is about 5 km away. We enjoyed the local market, restaurants and bakeries with delicious bread and croissants. We loved it here and will be back, a perfect combination of rustic charm, quiet seclusion, very helpful owners who are always there if you need them for anything. This property is as you see in the photos and we would highly recommend it. Plenty of fabulous villages to explore nearby too if you can tear yourself away.
