「Had a really great 2 night stay. Room was lovely, so comfortable. It was a great period style - but still provided for today’s needs - great wi-if, large shower, plenty of sockets. Ellen looked after us really well and couldn’t do enough for us. As for the breakfast - superb! Great choices and didn’t need lunch! 」

「Bertrams is a lovely place to stay in Warkworth. The rooms are very comfortable with everything you need. The staff are really friendly and nothing is too much trouble.
We stayed in a dog friendly room which was at the front facing the road. The room was really hot due to the great weather but we were unable to have the window open during the night because of the noise from the busy road. We did however have a freestanding fan which was excellent and very much appreciated.

「Grand old building , room clean and tidy , excellent night’s sleep . Breakfast good loved the timed sit down . Significant problem in that to ensure right mix of tables, all through the meal tables were being dismantled rolled out to a storage room and others replaced and set . A bit like breakfast whilst refurbishment on going .」
「Perfect location between Barter Book and the Playhouse with bus stop right outside. Clean, quiet, comfortable. Nice patio outside to enjoy summer evenings. Not fancy, but if your tastes are simple and you want an affordable base from which to explore the area, this is the place for you. 」
「Nice distances from places of interest and food. The room was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the kitchen was out of action, but the staff were accommodating in this issue. I we really enjoyed are stay. 」
「Great place to stay. In a great location for walking holiday and visiting local attractions. Place was kept in excellent condition. Lovely views of the hills and to watch the sun go down on a night. Nice bottle of wine left by the hosts for your arrival. Left to you own devices by the owners unless you had a problem.

「Despite the wet and windy conditions we really enjoyed our stay and managed to get around to our favourite spots. Steve & Julie provided a lovely starter pack to see us over the first 24 hours. Cottage is superb, with all the amenities you would expect at home. Would recommend it as a base to tour the countryside.」
